Brookbank dressed as a right winger earlier in the week and will do so again tonight. He has one goal and one assist in eight games but is not a realistic fantasy option.
The Blackhawks are currently carrying eight defenseman, so they have the ability to shuffle their bottom pair around. "You just can't really get too down on yourself when you're not playing," said Brookbank, who was signed to a two-year deal prior to the 2012-13 season. "You just want to be positive. You don't want to be walking around the room kind of moping around and stuff like that."
Brookbank appeared in 24 games for the Blackhawks this season, scoring one goal. He has never recorded a point in 17 career playoff games. This is a huge downgrade from Duncan Keith, but Brookbank can bring some extra physicality and toughness to the Hawks lineup.
