With Dan Hamhuis, Korbinian Holzer and Yannick Weber all set to become unrestricted free agents this offseason, there is a path for Carrier to be a full-time third-pairing defenseman in Nashville next season.

Carrier played in two games during his call-up but heads back to the AHL now that Dante Fabbro is back in the lineup. Carrier has four goals and 21 assists (25 points) in 34 AHL games this season.
