Andy McDonald News

Look for Andy McDonald to move up & play with David Backes & T.J. Oshie on the top line tonight. #stlblues

Since returning to the lineup, McDonald has three goals and four points in six games. Moving up to the top line, with arguably the team's best players, shouldn't hurt.

Sources confirm Andy McDonald will return to the lineup Sunday night when St. Louis hosts San Jose.

McDonald practiced on the second line this morning so expect him to play there on Sunday. The center/left wing registered two assists in three games before getting concussed.

It looks like it’s only a matter of time before the Blues get forward Andy McDonald back in the lineup. I would think Saturday is doubtful with the team set to play three games in four nights but barring an unexpected setback, fans can be sure to see McDonald back either Sunday or Tuesday.

Sounds like McDonald could return this weekend. The veteran center has been relegated to only three games this season.

Andy McDonald & Alex Steen will not travel with the team for upcoming 3 game trip. #stlblues

Both players will officially miss three more games. McDonald practiced most of this week with contact which is still a good sign. The veteran center has been relegated to only three games this season.

Here's the telltale sign no McDonald or Steen tonight: neither are on the ice today for the morning skate. #stlblues

Every time I see Andy McDonald on the ice, his workload continues to be ramped up. This would be a big addition to the lineup. #stlblues

Certainly sounds like the Blues could get McDonald back into the lineup shortly. The wounded playmaker would add a first-line talent to a good mix of forwards.

Andy McDonald said initially he thought he was done for good after this concussion. Scary stuff to think about. #stlblues

Good news to hear that the veteran playmaker is not, in fact, done. McDonald may be a good pickup if he can get healthy during the regular season.

Left winger Andy McDonald, who has been out since Oct. 13 with a concussion, skated at the team's practice facility today.

McDonald takes the first step towards recovery but remains at least a month away from getting back into game action. Considering the playmaker struggled with concussions over the last two seasons it remains to be seen if he can fully recover.
