Armstrong's return should add some depth to the team's forward lines. Look for Joey Crabb or Joe Colborne to draw out of the lineup when he does return.
The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Thursday that Colby Armstrong sustained a left ankle sprain during the first period of last night’s game against the Winnipeg Jets. Armstrong was placed on Injured Reserve and he will be out of the lineup for an indefinite time period.
Tough break for Armstrong, who has battled injuries for the last two seasons. Nazem Kadri has been recalled from the AHL to take his place on the third line.
