The NHL on Tuesday suspended Ducks forward Jean-Francois Jacques the remainder of the exhibition season and the first five games of the regular season for leaving the bench in order to fight Vancouver’s Mike Duco on Saturday night.
His coach, Randy Carlyle, was not pleased with Jacques' actions. If he actually earned a playing spot the former Oiler would have played left wing on the fourth line. He holds no fantasy value.
The Ducks announced on Wednesday that they have signed left wing Jean-Francois Jacques to a one-year contract. Per club policy, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
