Howard surrendered four goals on 39 shots in the Red Wings loss in New York on January 31st. Jonathan Bernier has started the last three games but Howard will start the second half of their back-to-back tonight in Columbus. He is 2-20-2 on the season, so it's next to impossible to trust him to earn you a win tonight. He allowed five goals on 37 shots in a 5-4 loss in Columbus back in late-November.

Howard starts Wednesday in Minnesota.

Howard allowed three goals on 37 shots in the Red Wings loss to the Panthers on Saturday. He was terrific on back-to-back games, stopping 69 of 74 shots (.932 SV%) but was still 0-1-1. Even when he plays well he can't snap his lengthy losing streak and he draws a brutal road assignment in Colorado. Not to mention it's his third start in four nights.

Howard stopped 35 of 37 shots in the Red Wings 2-1 overtime loss to the Penguins last night. It was a rare good outing for Howard, who still hasn't won since October 29th, going 0-11-2 over that stretch. Tonight he faces a Panthers team that has won four of their last five while scoring 4.60 goals per game.

Howard surrendered five goals on 27 shots in the Red Wings loss to the Sabres on Sunday. It’s been a dreadful season for Howard, who has allowed at least three goals in five straight and has not won a game since October 29th. On the year, he is 2-15-1 with a 4.10 GAA and .880 SV%, so I wouldn’t even consider him against an Islanders team that has lost eight of their last 11 (3-6-2).
