Fleischmann, 31, is a pending unrestricted free agent, so the Blackhawks have acquired him as a rental winger, who will likely play on their third line. The veteran winger has 10 goals and 10 assists (20 points) in 57 games this season and is expected to make his Blackhawks’ debut on Saturday.
Fleischmann had one goal, two assists and 14 shots on goal in four preseason games with the Canadiens. Fleischmann had just 27 points (8G / 19A) in 66 games between the Panthers and Ducks last year.
Fleischmann, 31, spent time with the Panthers and Ducks in 2014-15. In total, he amassed eight goals, 19 assists (27 points) in 66 games. He will look to crack a Canadiens team that is loaded with young wingers.
Fleischmann is a natural winger, but he will dress as a centre tonight in Game 3. Since being acquired by the Ducks, he has one goal and five assists (6 points) in 14 games. He will play because Nate Thompson and Chris Wagner are both battling injury.
Fleischmann will make his Ducks debut on the second line with Ryan Kesler and Jakob Silfverberg. Fleischmann comes into play tonight with 21 points (7G / 14A) in 52 games on the season.
Fleischmann’s flight to Dallas yesterday was cancelled so he will miss the morning skate and is unlikely to play tonight vs. the Stars. His next chance to make his debut would be Tuesday in Arizona.
Fleischmann has scored seven goals with 14 assists (21 points) in 52 games with the Panthers this season. Fleischmann had 56 goals and 72 assists (128 points) in 240 games under Ducks head coach Bruce Bourdreau, when they were both in Washington.
Fleischmann missed the last two games with an undisclosed injury, but will be back in the lineup tonight in Vancouver. Fleischmann will replace Vincent Trocheck.
Fleischmann was listed as doubtful, so this is not much of a surprise. Today is the second consecutive game that he has missed. He is listed as day-to-day.

Fleischmann served as a healthy scratch in the Panthers loss to the Wild on Monday. He will be back in the lineup tonight vs. Carolina, with Jimmy Hayes coming out. Fleishmann has just two points (1G / 1A) in 17 games this season.
Erskine has yet to play this season because he had been a healthy scratch for the first five games. He must have sustained an injury n practice and the move to IR will allow the Capitals to recall someone who might actually play from the AHL.
The Capitals would not pinpoint what is ailing Erskine, but it is likely related to his fight with Vincent Lecavalier on Wednesday. The fight earned him a game misconduct. He will be replaced by Cam Schilling.
Erskine has been dealing with an upper-body injury that has held him to just seven games. He is eligible to return to the lineup on November 20th.
Capitals head coach Adam Oates is glad to have the rugged defensemen back in the mix but plans on easing him back into game action on the third pairing with Steve Oleksy in Winnipeg.
