The Bruins have recalled Karson Kuhlman from Providence (AHL).

Kuhlman appeared in eight games earlier in the season but landed on IR with a hairline nondisplaced fracture of the right tibia before being assigned to Providence right before New Year's. The 24-year-old scored two goals with one assist in four games with Providence and returns to the Bruins after Brett Ritchie was waived.

Kuhlman has been out with a hairline nondisplaced fracture of the right tibia since October 19th but has resumed skating with the Bruins recently. He'll go to Providence, where he had 30 points (12G / 18A) in 58 games last season, so get back up to game speed before returning to the Bruins.

Kuhlman will play in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Kuhlman has not played since April 30th, which was Game 1 vs. the Blue Jackets, but will dress in a must-win Game 6 on Sunday. Kuhlman will replace Steven Kampfer, as the Bruins go back to the traditional 12 forwards and six defenseman look tonight. Kuhlman, who has one assist in six playoff games, will start on the second line with David Krejci and Jake DeBrusk.

Kuhlman will be back in the Bruins lineup for Game 3.

This will be Kuhlman’s first game in the second-round after being a healthy scratch following the Bruins Game 7 win. Kuhlman has one assist and seven shots while averaging 10:21 TOI/gm in five games in the postseason. Kuhlman, who will skate with David Krejci and Jake DeBrusk, will replace Chris Wagner in the lineup.
