Speaking of Huskins, it’s been three weeks since he had his foot surgery and he could be cleared to begin skating in another three weeks from now. He remains on crutches and in a walking boot. He is still on the eight week timetable he was given at the time of his surgery.

Under coach Davis Payne, Huskins was a top pairing defender but it remains to be seen how he is used under Ken Hitchcock. Nevertheless, he won't be back into the lineup until at least mid-January so no need to roster him at this point.

Prior to the injury, Huskins was playing on the top even strength pairing alongside Alex Pietrangelo. Under the new Ken Hitchcock regime, who knows where he ends up playing.

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Saturday that defenseman Kent Huskins will be sidelined due to a fractured bone in his left ankle.

Huskins will not play tomorrow night due to his current injury. Look for Nikita Nikitin to step back into the lineup.
