Peter Mueller News

Sacco said, and forward Peter Mueller, who has missed the past three games, will again not play. Mueller, who missed all of last season with concussion issues, practiced today but isn't deemed 100 percent.

Sounds like Mueller will not play mainly due to his lack of timing. Since coming back, the left wing only registered five shots over three games.

Peter Mueller, who has missed the past three games with a seemingly variety of issues, is wearing a burgundy sweater along with fourth-liners Jay McClement, Cody McLeod, TJ Galiardi, plus Kevin Porter. The left-wing spot where Mueller was at in training camp — on the Matt Duchene-centered line — continues to be filled by Joakim Lindstrom.

Mueller looks like a healthy scratch tomorrow night. Of course, we will confirm his exact status before game time.

TORONTO – Though he won’t play tonight, the very good news on Peter Mueller is: he is available to play. But for tonight’s game against Toronto, Mueller is going to be listed as a healthy scratch.

As Dater notes, Mueller could be back in the lineup as soon as later this week against the Blackhawks. Expect the team to ease him back into the lineup.

Peter Mueller won’t play again tonight. The good news: he skated this morning, and is listed as “day-to-day” by the team. But nobody will say exactly what’s wrong with him. Do I think he’s got some concussion symptoms again? It doesn’t really matter what I think. I’m not a doctor, and Mueller isn’t allowed to talk.

Day-to-day status definitely doesn't mean out indefinitely with a concussion so that's good news. Stay tuned for a further update on Mueller.

Peter Mueller skating this morning with team, but word I'm hearing is he won't play tonight. Update soon

Not a good sign for a player coming off post-concussion syndrome. The versatile forward was held scoreless over his first three games back. Look for Joakim Lindstrom to stay on the top line with Mueller out.

There were no specifics about what that meant, however, with the team saying only that Mueller will be re-evaluated Saturday morning, as it will take today off before playing Montreal on Saturday night.

Certainly not a good sign for Mueller, who may be suffering from concussion-like symptoms. Stay tuned for a further update on his status.

I thought Peter Mueller looked good and strong on his skates today in Day 1 of training camp. Let’s hope he feels good upon waking up tomorrow morning too, after taking plenty of contact today.

Mueller continues his long road towards recovery. It is no surprise we are high on the former 8th overall pick, draft accordingly.

Peter Mueller
“Every time I’m out there I feel better,” he said. “It’s been a long time coming, 18 months without doing anything. It’s coming back and I’m excited to get going.”

Certainly sounds like Mueller is on track to return to the lineup during the preseason. If you had him on your cheat sheet, keep him where he is as he looks "fine" on the ice. Expect further updates as they are reported.

Mueller, a left winger whose good health could be a major key to how successful the Avs are this coming season, has been skating regularly and will undergo physicals with the rest of the team Sept. 16. Assuming he passes, he'll be on the ice with no restrictions the next day, the first of training camp.
