Vrbata back on the top-line in the third period of Saturday’s game.

The Canucks had moved Vrbata off the Sedin’s line earlier in the week. But after they fell behind 5-0, they moved Vrbata back on a line with twins, moving Jannik Hansen to the second line with Nick Bonino and Alexandre Burrows.

Vrbata is battling a leg injury; could sit out Sunday.

Vrbata had been playing close to 20 minutes a night, but has played just 15:30 and 10:40 in the last two night’s because of a leg injury. The Canucks have Nicklas Jensen and Brandon DeFazio up from Utica, waiting to slide into the lineup if Vrbata and Derek Dorsett, who is doubtful, can’t play.

The Canucks signed Radim Vrbata to a two-year, $10 million dollar deal.

Vrbata, 33, had 20 goals and 31 assists (51 points) in 80 games for the Coyotes last season. He has been a consistent point producer throughout his career and could end up playing with Daniel and Henrik Sedin. Another 20-plus goal and 30-plus assist season should be attainable.

Vrbata (lower-body) is expected to return the lineup tonight.

Vrbata has missed the last two games after being injured on November 6 at Anaheim. Vrbata skated with Lauri Korpikoski and Martin Hanzal this morning which leads us to believe he has recovered from his lower-body injury and will play tonight vs. Chicago.

Vrbata (lower-body) skated for the second straight day, but will likely won't play tonight

Vrbata was on the ice with his teammates this morning but skated by himself and did not participate in line rushes. Tonight would be the third straight game he has missed since being injured last Wednesday. If he doesn't play tonight, Vrbata will likely be back on Thursday vs. Chicago, barring any setbacks.
