In other injury news, David Krejci and Steven Kampfer were also on the ice in Tuesday’s morning skate. Kampfer, who is recovering from a left knee sprain suffered on Sept. 29, is still awaiting clearance for contact drills.

Kampfer will not play tonight and has yet to practice with a defensive pairing. Last season he scored five goals and 10 points over 38 games for the Bruins. Look for him to fill in for any injured d-men and add depth to the blue line.

WILMINGTON, Mass. — Asked if there were any update on Steve Kampfer, who suffered an injured knee during the B’s 2-1 loss to Ottawa on Thursday, Boston Bruins Head Coach Claude Julien sounded mildly optimistic.

When Kampfer returns, he will have a spot on the team's roster. Last season, the Ann Arbor, MI native scored three goals and 16 points in 22 games with the Providence Bruins and five goals and 10 points with the Bruins. He likely won't hold too much fantasy hockey value this season unless he again sees regular playing time with Zdeno Chara.
