Line Change

The Sabres signed Ville Leino to be one of their top two centers. It hasn't worked out so far, with just one goal and one assist in 10 games. He's about to get his shot with Buffalo's hottest wingers to see if it can kick-start his season.

Coach Lindy Ruff puts Leino in the best possible position to succeed while playing between their top two scorers. If he can't pick up his pace, he likely will struggle to break out of his slump elsewhere.

As stated at the team's press conference, the Sabres signed Leino to center their second line. There should not be a dramatic decrease from last season's 19 goals and 53 points considering he will be pivoting a 31-goal scorer.

4:14 P.M: HERE'S A BIG ONE: THE SABRES SIGN FLYERS LEFT WINGER VILLE LEINO. SIX YEARS, 27.5M. Leino scored the overtime winner in Game Six at HSBC. A great addition on the wing. He had 19 goals, 34 assists and 53 points and was plus-14 in 81 games.
