Boston has signed Jiri Patera to a one-year, two-way contract.

Injuries have afforded Patera a few looks at NHL exposure over the past few seasons, but none have stuck. The 27-year-old goalie spent most of 2025-26 in the AHL, where he posted a 2.63 GAA and .910 SV% in 30 games (12-14-2) with the Abbotsford Canucks.

Boston has signed Brian Halonen to a two-year, two-way contract.

Halonen had a 15-game stint with the New Jersey Devils last season, a career-high, scoring two points (1G / 1A). That said, the undrafted 27-year-old forward spent most of 2025-26 in the AHL, where he scored 34 points (20G / 14A) in 51 games with the Utica Comets.

Boston has signed Brendan Gaunce to a two-year contract worth $875,000 AAV.

Gaunce was drafted 26th overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks, but never really transitioned into a regular NHLer. That said, the 32-year-old forward has 35 points (15G / 20A) in 214 career NHL games. He spent most of the 2025-26 season in the AHL, scoring 36 points (16G / 20A) in 44 games with the Cleveland Monsters.

Boston has acquired Will Borgen from New York for a 2027 2nd round pick and a conditional 2028 3rd round pick.

Borgen has become a reliable bottom-four defenseman in recent seasons and will bring his talents to the Boston Bruins after being acquired in a trade. The 29-year-old Borgen averaged 18:03 time-on-ice, recording 15 points (5G / 10A) and a +3 plus/minus in 75 games last season.

Boston has signed Jordan Harris to a one-year, $850,000 AAV contract.

Harris' 2025-26 season was hampered by injuries, as he played just eight games with Boston and four with Providence (AHL), but he impressed the organization enough to earn a one-year contract extension. The 25-year-old defenseman, a third-round pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, has 40 points (10G / 30A) in 172 career NHL games.

Boston has signed Connor Clifton to a two-year, $2.25 million AAV contract ($4.5M total).

Clifton made his NHL debut in the 2018-19 season with the Boston Bruins, playing five seasons with the team, and will rejoin them after three seasons away. The 30-year-old defenseman spent the 2025-26 season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, recording six points (2G / 4A) and 180 hits in 50 games.

Boston has acquired Kalle Vaisanen and a 2028 fourth-round draft pick from New York for Joonas Korpisalo.

Vaisanen was drafted in the fourth round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers, but he has yet to make his NHL debut. The 23-year-old forward spent his first full professional season in North America, recording four points (3G / 1A) in 51 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack.

The Bruins have signed Luke Cavallin to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

Boston has locked up some goaltending depth after it was announced Wednesday that Luke Cavallin had signed a one-year, two-way contract. The 25-year-old undrafted German net-minder appeared in Providence (AHL) for eight games in 2025-26 but spent the majority of the season with Maine (ECHL), where he had a 18-10-5 record, .917 SV% and 2.35 GAA.

The Bruins have signed Ivan Ivan to a one-year, two-way contract.

Ivan's RFA rights were acquired from the Avalanche on Sunday and he signs a one-year, two-way deal with the Bruins. The 23-year-old forward spent most of the 2025-26 season in the AHL, where he had 26 points (11G / 15A) in 66 games with the Colorado Eagles. He'll likely start the 2026-27 season in the AHL, but should be one of the first players summoned to Boston.

Boston has acquired Ivan Ivan from Colorado for Fabian Lysell.

After two up-and-down seasons in Colorado, Ivan Ivan has been acquired by Boston for Fabian Lysell. The 23-year-old undrafted Czech forward found himself on the outside looking in after only appearing in nine games for the Avalanche in 2025-26, picking up a point, two PIMs and four SOG. He is expected to compete for a spot in Boston's bottom-six for the start of the 2026-27 season.

The Bruins have acquired JJ Peterka from the Mammoth for the No.23 overall pick in 2026 and a 2028 first-round pick.

Peterka's time in Utah lasted just one mediocre season after the 24-year-old was acquired by Boston for the No.23 overall pick in 2026 and a 2028 first-round pick on Friday. Peterka is just one season removed from a 27-goal, 68 point campaign in 2024-25 but took a step backwards in Utah last season with just 25 goals and 47 points in 82 games played. He is expected to play a key top-six role in Boston's lineup this upcoming season.

Boston has signed Simon Zajicek to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

After a successful first season in North America with Providence (AHL), Simon Zajicek has earned himself a one-year, two-way contract extension to remain in Boston's organization. The 24-year-old thrived as a backup in Providence through 21 appearances last season as shown by his 14-6-1 record, .915 SV% and 2.44 GAA.

The Bruins have signed Navrin Mutter to a one-year, two-way contract extension through the 2026-27 season.

Mutter started the 2025-26 season in the Nashville organization, but was traded to Boston on March 12th. He spent the entire year in the AHL, where he had one goal and one assist in 39 games, including one goal in 12 games after joining Providence.

Navrin Mutter
Boston has signed Lukas Reichel to a one-year, $950,000 contract extension.

Reichel, the 17th-overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, has had trouble becoming a permanent fixture at the NHL level and was traded twice in the 2025-26 season. That said, he seemed to have found a role late in the season after joining the Boston Bruins, scoring three points (1G / 2A) in 10 games, earning himself a one-year contract extension.

Swayman will start Game 6 vs. the Sabres.

The Bruins fell behind 1-0 early in a must-win Game Five when Swayman allowed a goal in the opening minutes, but shut the door the rest of the way, saving 25 of 26 shots (.962 SV%) in a 2-1 overtime win to force a Game Six. The 27-year-old Swayman has a 2.87 GAA and .910 SV% through five games this postseason (2-3). The Bruins hope to force a Game Seven, entering Game Six on Friday as slight +104 home underdogs.
