Murphy (groin) will remain out on Wednesday but is expected to return on Friday vs. Nashville.

Murphy has been out of the lineup since mid-January but is targeting a return on Friday against the Nashville Predators. Murphy played the first 43 games for the Blackhawks this season, scoring eight points (2G / 6A), tallying 93 hits, and 105 blocks.

Mrazek will start on Wednesday in St. Louis.

The Blackhawks have won five of their last eight and will return to Mrazek in net on Wednesday against the St. Louis Blues. Mrazek has been stellar lately, allowing two or fewer goals in four straight (2-2-0), including saving 42 of 44 shots (.955 SV%) in his most recent outing, an impressive 3-2 win over the Dallas Stars.

Mrazek will make his fourth start in five games Tuesday vs. New York after taking a seat for the Blackhawks' previous win on Saturday in Philadelphia. The 32-year-old has played rather admirably despite the team in front of him, with his 17-27-4 record, 3.05 GAA and .906 SV%. He will host the New York Islanders Tuesday, who have dropped eight of their last 11 games and are 21st in the NHL in goals per game (2.96).

Zaitsev left Thursday's game and did not return.

Head coach Luke Richardson described Zaitsev's departure as a combination of illness and a nagging upper-body injury. Jarred Tinordi would likely come into the lineup to replace Zaitsev if he's unavailable for Saturday's game in Philadelphia.
