Glass was limited to 6:44 time-on-ice in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Winnipeg Jets, exiting the game in the second period because of an undisclosed injury. He did not play on Thursday but appears to be nearing a return to the lineup. The 26-year-old forward has 18 points (13G / 5A) in 42 games this season.

Hughes exited Thursday's 3-2 win over the Nashville Predators midway through the first period and did not return due to a lower-body injury. It's unclear if he will be able to play on Saturday against the Ottawa Senators. Still, Head Coach Sheldon Keefe stated that the injury does not seem serious, which is encouraging news for the oft-injured Hughes. Before Thursday's injury, Hughes was starting to get into an offensive rhythm, with 12 points (1G / 11A) in his last 10 games.

Hughes suffered the injury early in the first period of Thursday's game and returned for one shift before exiting the game for good. We should get an update on his status ahead of New Jersey's game in Ottawa on Saturday.

The Devils have been rotating goalies, not entirely by preference, as neither Jake Allen nor Jacob Markstrom has been able to string together a consistent stretch of reliable goaltending. The 35-year-old Markstrom allowed three goals on 18 shots (.833 SV%) in his previous outing, a 4-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken. He has a sub- .900 SV% in four of his last five games (3-2-0). The Devils enter the action on Thursday as -131 home favourites against a Nashville Predators team that has lost four of their last five games (1-3-1).

Tsyplakov showed flashes of promise as a 26-year-old rookie a season ago when he tallied 10 goals and 25 assists in 77 games, but had gone ice-cold this year and was ultimately deemed to be expendable by Isles General Manger Mathieu Darche. Tsyplakov has just a single goal and no assists in 27 games this season, routinely bouncing in and out of the lineup as a healthy scratch. He'll get a fresh start in New Jersey where presumably he'll compete for playing time in their bottom-six.

Glendening will slot into the lineup in place of Ondrej Palat, who is being held out for "roster-related" reasons. Glendening will skate with Paul Cotter and Connor Brown on New Jersey's fourth line.

Tsyplakov will slot in for Simon Holmstrom, who is out with an illness. Tsyplakov has just one goal and zero assists in 26 games this season.

Allen snapped a three-game losing streak (0-3-0) with an impressive 22-save performance (.953 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 2-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Despite an unspectacular 4-4-1 record, the 35-year-old Allen has a solid 2.44 GAA and .916 SV% in his last nine games. The Devils enter the action on Tuesday as -123 home favorites against a Winnipeg Jets team that is struggling offensively, scoring just five goals in its last four games (1-2-1).

Markstrom will look to help New Jersey to thier fifth win in the last six games on Friday as he takes the crease in Vancouver vs. the Canucks. The 35-year-old has struggled nightly this season for the Devils, posting a 3.27 GAA, .882 SV% and 13-11-1 record across 26 appearances. He'll face the spiralling Vancouver Canucks on the road on Friday, who snapped an eight-game losing streak with a win over Washington their last time out on Wednesday.

Hughes exited Monday's 2-1 win over the Calgary Flames in the second period because of a shoulder injury. He did not play on Tuesday and has now been placed on LTIR, meaning he will miss, at minimum, one month. The 22-year-old Hughes has 26 points (5G / 21A) in 49 games this season. The Devils recalled Colton White from Utica (AHL) in a corresponding move.

With Luke Hughes (shoulder) on LTIR, the Devils have recalled White from Utica (AHL). The 28-year-old White played 23 games with the Devils earlier this season, tallying four assists.

Kovacevic recently made his season debut after knee surgery, but has been a healthy scratch a couple times as he continues to acclimate to game speed. Kovacevic will replace Luke Hughes, who is out with a shoulder injury.
