There are just four games on the slate tonight, but there are some great matchups! The Bruins and Flyers should be a fun game to watch with lots of physical play. Rookies Connor McDavid and Dylan Larkin will go head-to-head in Edmonton and Semyon Varlamov will look to get back on track vs. Carolina.

Below I’ve listed my top DFS plays at each position as well as my ideal DraftKings lineup for tonight.

Centres

Nathan MacKinnon – vs. CAR – ($7,000)

After picking up five points in his first two games of the season, MacKinnon has just one goal in the last three games. Two of those three games, were on the road now the Avs are back on home ice and MacKinnon should take advantage of a good matchup. Carolina has given up the fourth most goals against so far.

Henrik Zetterberg – @ EDM – ($6,700)

Zetterberg has collected at least one point in the first five games of the season, totalling nine points (2G / 7A). Zetty is off to a great start and a meeting with the Oilers should allow him to keep that point-streak going. He has posted 39 points in 41 career meetings with the Oilers.

David Krejci – vs. PHI – ($5,200)

Krejci also has a point in each of his first five games, giving him four goals and five assists. He is always underrated and will likely be under-owned in DFS tonight with Bergeron playing—he has 26 points in 26 games vs. Philly.

Cheap Options: Dylan Larkin – @ EDM – ($3,900), Sam Reinhart – vs. TOR – ($2,700), Andrew Miller – vs. DET – ($2,500)

Wingers

Gabriel Landeskog – vs. CAR – ($6,600)

Like MacKinnon, Landeskog has gone cold over the last few games, but hosting the Hurricanes could mean a big night for Landeskog. The Avalanche will need them to get back on track in order to win, so look for Patrick Roy to lean on them tonight.

Justin Abdelkader – @ EDM – ($4,700)

Abdelkader has been held pointless in his last three games, but his line mates, Zetterberg and Dylan Larkin keep racking them up. Expect Adelkader to get back on the scoresheet tonight in Edmonton.

David Pastrnak – vs. PHI – ($4,400)

The electric young winger would be a nice stack with Krejci. He has just one goal this season, but has registered 13 shots in three home games. Michal Neuvirth has not given up a goal in two games, that streak should end tonight.

Cheap Options: Joffrey Lupul – @ BUF – ($3,800), Mikko Rantanen – vs. CAR – ($2,700)

Defensemen

Zdeno Chara – vs. PHI – $4,700

Torey Krug has been the best Bruins’ defneseman so far this season, but Chara is not far behind. He has recorded three assists and nine shots in three games since returning to the lineup.

Dion Phaneuf – @ BUF – $4,100

Phaneuf takes a ton of heat, but he is quietly having a nice start to the season. Jake Gardiner will not play tonight, so Phaneuf and Morgan Reilly will be leaned on to carry the load on the blueline. Phaneuf has four assists and nine shots in five games.

Niklas Kronwall – @ EDM – $4,100

Kronwall or Mike Green make for strong options tonight, but the two of them only have one assist so far this season, so you might as well go with the cheaper option if you need to save the money.

Cheap Options: Justin Schultz – vs. DET – ($3,600), Cody Franson – vs. TOR – ($3,400)

Goalies

Semyon Varlamov – vs. CAR – ($7,300)

Varlamov has had a rough start to the season, but after sitting for two games, he will get a chance to redeem himself tonight. He draws a good matchup vs. the Hurricanes and should have plenty of offence to carry him to the win.

Petr Mrazek – @ EDM – ($6,900)

Mrazek has posted a rock-solid .931 SV% in two starts and the way the Red Wings have been giving up shots, he should rack up a tonne of points tonight—which should include the win.
