Brendan Morrow to Miss Next Three Games

Brendan Morrow to Miss Next Three Games

On Wednesday, it was announced that Dallas Stars captain Brendan Morrow would miss their home game against the Los Angeles Kings. The following day, Morrow was ruled out of the next three games according to Mark Stepneski of Andrew’s Stars Page. While coach Glen Gulutzan admitted his captain has a few bumps and bruises, he sounded optimistic that the team will get a healthy and productive player back in the lineup shortly. From Andrew’s Stars Page:

“He’s out through the weekend and we’re hoping come Thursday we’ll have a completely healthy Brenden,” Gulutzan said. “He’s very close, but he’s got a couple of upper body things that need to get looked after and then I think we are going to have a good, healthy captain.”

At this point it sounds like the Stars are keeping the captain out in order to prevent further injury.

Through 20 games, the Carlyle, Saskatchewan native has been only slightly effective with three goals and nine points. The only silver lining has been his 39 PIM and plus-1 rating as well as solid contributions in the blocked shots and hits categories in leagues that count those sort of things.

Our very own Ryan Campbell explained why you should not have drafted the power forward as his most productive days seem far behind him. Expect him to get back into the lineup on Thursday but that exact date remains unconfirmed.
