Brind’Amour, Evason, and Quenneville nominated for Jack Adams Award

The nominees for the Jack Adams Award, which is awarded annually to the NHL’s coach of the year, have been announced

This year, Carolina Hurricanes bench boss Rod Brind’Amour, Minnesota Wild head coach Dean Evason, and Joel Quenneville of the Florida Panthers are the three nominees up for the award.

Brind’Amour has led the Hurricanes to three straight postseason appearances and to a Central Division title this season.

Evason guided the Minnesota Wild to a bit of a surprising 35-16-5 record, and finished third in a loaded West Division.

Meanwhile, Quenneville hopes to take home his second Jack Adams Award, as the Florida bench boss last took home the award when he was coaching the St. Louis Blues in the 1999-2000 season. This year, Quenneville’s Panthers had their best season in franchise history and were one point shy of taking home the Central Division title.
