Cammalleri returns from suspension, back on 1st line

The Montreal Canadiens will enjoy the return of scoring winger Michael Cammalleri.  The Ontario native makes his 2010-2011 debut after a one game suspension that resulted in the talented sniper missing the season opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Hopefully he has learned his lesson and will have more discipline with his stick.

Cammalleri will return to the top line alongside Tomas Plekanec and Andrei Kostitsyn.  As a result, Lars Eller shifts down to third-line duty next to Jeff Halpern and Maxime Lapierre.  Scott Gomez’s line remains intact as he will be flanked by Benoit Pouliot and Captain Brian Gionta. Dustin Boyd, who has shown some early season promise, will play with Travis Moen and Tom Pyatt in a fourth line combination with Mathieu Darche the odd man out and healthy scratch.

Hamrlik and Markov are both skating, but neither is ready to return to action just yet. Hamrlik could be ready by Wednesday’s game against Tampa and the word on Markov is some time before the end of October.

To summarize:

Cammalleri – Plekanec – Kostitsyn

Pouliot – Gomez – Gionta

Eller – Halpern – Lapierre

Moen – Boyd – Pyatt
