Caps Trade Captain Clark, Jurcina to Jackets

The Blue Jackets needed some help on D after placing Marc Methot on IR earlier this week and they got it with Milan Jurcina coming over from Washington.  The Jackets also acquired the Capitals’ Captain, Chris Clark.  Does this mean the Blue Jackets have a need for leadership?

Washington received second-liner Jason Chimera in return.  Chimera, a left winger, has 17 points in 39 games on the year.  It’ll be interesting to see who he ends up playing with in Washington.

For the most part, though, none of the players in this deal should see a boost in their fantasy production so the trade is likely a non-factor in your leagues.  Neither team will have these players for their games tonight but maybe the more interesting storyline is who the Caps place the “C” on for tonight’s matchup.  Ovie?
