Carl Soderberg signed a two-year deal in Sweden

Veteran pivot @Carl Soderberg is headed home.

After nine seasons in the NHL, the 35-year-old Soderberg has inked a two-year contract with his hometown Malmo RedHawks of the Swedish Hockey League.

Soderberg grew up through the RedHawks system and was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the second round of the 2004 NHL draft. After eight seasons in Sweden, Soderberg signed a three-year contract as an unrestricted free agent with the Boston Bruins and made finally his NHL debut in 2013.

All told, Soderberg played 597 games with the Bruins, Avalanche, Coyotes, and Blackhawks, scoring 110 goals and 297 points.
