Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour has won the 2021 Jack Adams Award, awarded to the NHL’s top coach.

In second place was Minnesota Wild bench boss Dean Evason and Florida’s Joel Quenneville.

This season, Brind’Amour led the Hurricanes to the NHL Central Division title, the club’s first division title since 2005-06. The Hurricanes have made the playoffs in each of Brind’Amour’s first three seasons as head coach, and the product of Campbell River, BC was awarded a three-year extension from Carolina yesterday as a result.

Brind’Amour becomes the first head coach in Hurricanes franchise history to win the award.
