Los Angeles Kings forward Jeff Carter will be activated off injured reserve and take part in warm-ups.

The Kings will have 13 forwards on the ice for warm-ups and will decide whether or not Carter returns to the lineup tonight. If he returns he will skate on the second line with Mike Richards and Dwight King.

Carter missed the last 10 games with a broken foot. Prior to the injury, he played in 14 games registering five goals and four assists. The 28-year-old sniper had 26 goals in 48 games last season and had a career-high of 46 goals in 2008-09. He can be expected to lead the Kings in goals through the remainder of the season and should be activated in all formats if he plays tonight.

The Kings are expected to put Jonathan Quick on IR so they do not have to send any of their young forwards back to Manchester of the American Hockey League.

Carter’s owned percentage in Yahoo! leagues has dropped to 84%, so he could be available in your league. If so, he should be added right away.
