Computer Picks: 06/03/2010–Weekend Mode

Knowing full-well the importance of Saturday night in the NHL, I have decided to stay up for a few extra minutes in order to post the following computer predictions, but let me assure you that I am currently in no condition to offer any analysis whatsoever. In all likelihood, I will probably be fast asleep within minutes of publishing this, and yet, I am somehow still conscious enough to see some good value in taking Carolina to beat Florida. Perhaps, I was also momentarily snapped back to total awareness after seeing such wild predictions as DAL 4 – PIT 2, NYR 5 – WSH 2, and CBJ 3 – SJS 3. None of these predictions may actually come to fruition, but there is something to be said about the way that some of these big home favourites have been playing recently (despite continuing to win games), and perhaps also the potential letdown spots that some of them may be in for this Saturday.

Anyway, I’ll be back in the late afternoon to actually take a look at the games on the board. Any analysis in the comments section would be greatly appreciated.
