There’s a handful of quality teams in action tonight, making for a lot of parity and a challenging six-game slate.

Zach Hyman ($4,300)-Auston Matthews ($7,300)-William Nylander ($6,100)

Mike Babcock line-matches as much as any coach in the league, and with the last change at his disposal tonight, expect the Marleau-Kadri-Komorov line to match up against St. Louis 1 for the majority of the night. This conveniently frees up the Hyman-Matthews-Nylander line to attack the depleted depth of the Blues. In fairness to St. Louis, their current second line of Jaskin-Schenn-Steen has been effective over the last few games, but the Matthews line poses an entirely different kind of threat. The line is an impressive +13 at 5v5 so far this season, good for third in the league among trios with at least 200 minutes of ice-time. Hyman keeps the full price of this line reasonable tonight and should do the same for their ownership, so if you’re looking to make it a full stack, Morgan Rielly ($5,600) is the recommended play.

Claude Giroux ($6,700)-Sean Couturier ($6,900)-Travis Konecny ($3,600)

With the injuries to Chris Kreider and Kevin Hayes, the Rangers lines are a bit of a mess right now. Over the last two home games, Alain Vigneault has opted to match Rick Nash’s line against the opposition’s best. The results have been disastrous, as the Rangers were outscored 12-4 in those games. Making the matchup even more intriguing for Philadelphia 1 is a tired Henrik Lundqvist, who will be playing his third game in four nights after unexpectedly having to relieve Ondrej Pavelec on Saturday night. Konecny has done well in his short showing on the Flyers’ top line, racking up three points and 12 shots across three games. Having him in your lineup at this price should leave you some cash to play Shayne Gostisbehere ($5,700) if you want to make it a full stack.

Value Stack

Anthony Mantha ($4,900)-Henrik Zetterberg ($5,400)-Gustav Nyquist ($4,700)

After an impressive performance from Dallas 1 yesterday afternoon, Jeff Blashill is expected to challenge them with the Bertuzzi-Larkin-Athanasiou line. This leaves the Zetterberg line with the menial task that is Mattias Janmark-Martin Hanzal-Devin Shore, who have posted a hilariously bad 36% CF in their short time together this season. The Red Wings top line is a formidable one when Blashill actually gives Mantha the playing time his skill merits, and you can expect them to dominate the depth of the Stars tonight. A rested Ben Bishop could ultimately limit the potential of this line tonight, but they should be able to rack up enough shots that they won’t need to convert more than once to hit their value at this price. I usually advise against fully-stacking your value plays, but if you insist, Mike Green ($4,700) is the only Detroit defenceman worth playing on any given night.
