Coyotes at Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -192 Favorites

Two of the NHL’s hottest teams will square off in Tampa Bay on Thursday when the Lightning host the Coyotes. Tampa Bay is riding a season-high eight-game winning streak after ending a seven-game winning streak for the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday in a 9-2 rout as a -220 home favorite. Meanwhile, Arizona has won four games in a row, with the OVER cashing in three straight, to pull even with the Vegas Golden Knights atop the Pacific Division.

Canucks at Panthers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -140 Favorites

The Canucks will try to rebound from their first loss in eight games when they visit the Panthers. Vancouver fell 9-2 at Tampa Bay on Tuesday as a +180 road underdog to halt a seven-game winning streak and continue its struggles away from home. The Canucks are 9-11-1 at home compared to 14-5-3 at home this year. Florida has alternated losses and wins in its last six following a 5-2 setback against Arizona on Tuesday as a -135 home favorite. Despite that loss, the Panthers are also a much better team at home with a 13-8-2 mark.

Oilers at Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -125 Favorites

The Oilers continue a five-game east coast road trip when they visit the Canadiens. Edmonton has won its last two games over the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs by a combined score of 10-5 after opening the trip with a 3-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres as a +105 road dog a week ago. Montreal will be looking to avoid tying its longest skid of the season, losing seven games in a row for the second time by falling to the lowly Detroit Red Wings for the third time this year on Tuesday. The UNDER is on a 4-1 run for the Canadiens as well.

Jets at Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -192 Favorites

The Atlantic Division-leading Bruins will go for their second straight win since suffering three consecutive losses when they host the Jets. Boston blew out the Nashville Predators 6-2 on Tuesday as a -120 road favorite, with the OVER cashing for the first time in six games. Winnipeg will try to extend its winning streak to three games following a 4-3 victory against Toronto on Wednesday as a +170 road underdog. The Jets are wrapping up a four-game road trip, and they have gone 8-3 the last 11 times in the second game of a back-to-back situation.

Devils at Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Rangers -140 Favorites

The Rangers are favored for the first time since December 22 as they prepare to host the Devils. New York has been an underdog in seven consecutive games after routing the Anaheim Ducks 5-1 as -170 home chalk three days before Christmas. The Rangers have gone 3-4 in their last seven as a dog, with the OVER on a 10-1-1 run. New Jersey has lost two in a row since putting together a three-game winning streak, and the team is listed as an underdog for the 10th straight time. The OVER is also on a 7-2 run for the Devils.

Sabres at Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -201 Favorites

The Sabres hope to run their winning streak to three games when they host the Blues. Buffalo has beaten Edmonton and Florida by identical 3-2 scores that both finished UNDER the total in its last two. The UNDER has also cashed in six of seven games for the Sabres. St. Louis returned home from a disappointing 0-2-1 road trip on Tuesday to defeat the San Jose Sharks 3-2 as a -190 favorite. The defending Stanley Cup champions have lost the past two meetings though, after winning 12 of the previous 13.

Predators at Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -130 Favorites

The Predators will attempt to earn their first victory with new head coach John Hynes when they visit the Blackhawks in a Central Division clash. Nashville fell 6-2 to Boston on Tuesday as a +100 home underdog in Hynes’ first game on the bench. Chicago is one point behind its opponent in the division standings despite playing two more games, currently residing in last place in the Central. The Blackhawks have dropped two of three after winning five of six.

Kings at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -275 Favorites

The Kings will look to end a three-game losing streak when they open up a five-game road trip versus the Golden Knights in a Pacific Division matchup. Los Angeles is coming off a 2-1 loss to the Dallas Stars on Wednesday as a +130 home underdog, with the UNDER cashing for the seventh time in nine games. Vegas has lost six of the 11 regular-season meetings in this series all-time but has won four of the first five during its current seven-game homestand. The OVER is on a 4-0 run for the Golden Knights and has also cashed in six of seven games.

Also on today’s schedule: Wild at Flames, Stars at Ducks and Blue Jackets at Sharks.
