Coyotes at Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -167 Favorites

The Coyotes wrap up a tough three-game road trip by playing back-to-back nights when they visit the Hurricanes. Arizona opened the trip with a 5-2 upset win over the Florida Panthers on Tuesday as a +115 road underdog and then fell 4-0 to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday as a +180 dog. The Coyotes have also lost the last four times they have played the second game of a back-to-back situation. Carolina is coming off a 5-4 victory against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday as a -165 favorite to snap a two-game skid in the fifth game of a seven-game homestand that ends on Saturday.

Senators at Red Wings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Red Wings -125 Favorites

Two of the NHL’s worst teams will battle in Detroit when the Red Wings host the Senators in an Atlantic Division matchup. Ottawa is looking to break a five-game losing streak, with the team picking up just two wins in its last 10 dating back to December 16, with the OVER also on an amazing 10-1 run. Detroit edged the Montreal Canadiens 4-3 on Tuesday as a +135 home underdog to halt a two-game losing streak, beating the team for the third time this season, with the OVER cashing for the first time in five games. But the Senators have already defeated the Red Wings twice in two meetings this year, with the OVER cashing both times.

Penguins at Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -150 Favorites

The Penguins will continue a three-game West Coast road trip with a visit to the Avalanche, and they hope to have captain Sidney Crosby (groin) back in the lineup very soon. Pittsburgh opened the trip with a 4-3 victory against the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday as a +155 road underdog, with the OVER cashing for the first time in four games. Colorado will be happy to be back home after losing the last two games of a three-game road trip through New Jersey and New York. The Avalanche were favored in all three games but fell 1-0 to the New York Islanders and 5-3 to the New York Rangers following a 5-2 rout of the New Jersey Devils in the opener of the trip, with the OVER on a 4-1 run.
