Blackhawks at Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -165 Favorites

The Blackhawks continue a three-game road trip through Canada on Wednesday when they visit the Canadiens, also hoping to extend their winning streak to three games following a 3-2 overtime victory against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday. Chicago has fared well in the second game of a back-to-back recently, winning three of the last four times in this situation, with the UNDER cashing in three of four.

Meanwhile, Montreal will have the advantage of some extra rest and brings a two-game winning streak into this one as well after beating Ottawa 2-1 as a -145 road favorite Saturday and following that up Monday by blanking the Calgary Flames 2-0 in a pick’em matchup. The UNDER is on a 3-0 run for the Canadiens and has also cashed in seven of their last eight.

Flyers at Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -165 Favorites

The Blues will try to close out a five-game homestand with a perfect 5-0 record when they host the Flyers. The defending Stanley Cup champions have rebounded nicely from a winless West Coast road trip that saw them go 0-2-1, winning their ninth straight home game on Monday with a 4-1 victory against the Anaheim Ducks as heavy -220 favorites. The last three wins for St. Louis have all been decided by three goals or more.

Philadelphia is coming off a more difficult win over the Boston Bruins on Monday, rallying from a 5-2 deficit to pick up two points with a 6-5 shootout victory as a +110 home underdog. The Flyers saw Brad Marchand overskate the puck on his potential game-tying shot for the Bruins in the shootout to secure the win, as Travis Konecny tallied the game-winner prior to that blunder. Philly had dropped five of its previous six games, closing as an underdog five times during that stretch too.
