Rangers at Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -175 Favorites

The Rangers and Islanders will meet for the second time in four days after the former won 6-2 at Madison Square Garden as +105 home underdogs on Monday. Artemi Panarin totaled five points (two goals and three assists) for the winning team in the rout, as the Rangers won for the third time in four games following a three-game losing streak, with the OVER on a 4-0 run and also going 13-1-1 in their last 15. Meanwhile, the Islanders bounced back from that defeat with an 8-2 blowout victory against the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday as -245 home favorites, with the OVER cashing for the third time in four games for them as well.

Penguins at Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -136 Favorites

Two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference will square off in Boston when the Bruins host the Penguins. Boston has dropped two games in a row as a road favorite by a combined score of 9-5 yet remains comfortably atop the Atlantic Division with a six-point lead on the Tampa Bay Lightning. Pittsburgh is the hottest team in the league with an 8-1-1 mark its last 10 games, including a current four-game winning streak, with the OVER on a 4-0 run. Sidney Crosby is finally back with the Penguins too while the Bruins may be without goalie Tuukka Rask, who suffered a concussion in Tuesday’s 3-0 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Hurricanes at Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -125 Favorites

Last year’s playoff darlings will face each other when the Hurricanes visit the Blue Jackets, as both previously pulled off upsets in the first round. Each team is currently fighting for a Wild Card spot in the East, with Carolina sitting two points ahead of Columbus in the Metropolitan Division. However, the Blue Jackets have gotten the best of the Hurricanes recently, winning three straight meetings and four of the past five. In addition, the UNDER is a remarkable 11-1-1 in the previous 13 head-to-head matchups.

Flames at Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -170 Favorites

The Flames and Maple Leafs will play each other for the second time this season as both teams continue to battle for playoff berths in their respective divisions. Calgary won the first meeting 4-2 as a +105 home underdog back on December 12 after losing four of the previous five in the series. Toronto has won 10 of its last 14 games since then, with the OVER cashing in four straight and 10 of 13. However, the UNDER is 5-1-1 in the past seven meetings.

Devils at Capitals | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -305 Favorites

The Devils continue a four-game road trip versus the Capitals after losing the opener 7-4 to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday as +240 road underdogs. New Jersey had won two games in a row by a combined score of 8-2 prior to that loss, with the UNDER cashing each time. Washington closes out a three-game homestand here as well following a 2-0 victory against the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday as a -140 home favorite to end a two-game skid. The UNDER is on a 3-0 run for the Capitals too after the OVER cashed in five straight games.

Golden Knights at Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -180 Favorites

The Golden Knights will have a new head coach when they visit the Senators in the second game of a season-high eight-game road trip. Vegas opened the trip with a 4-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday as a -170 road favorite and then surprisingly proceeded to fire head coach Gerard Gallant in part due to the team’s current four-game losing streak, replacing him with former San Jose Sharks head coach Peter DeBoer. Ottawa is riding an even longer skid at eight games, with the UNDER on a 3-0 run. But the Senators have been competitive in this series versus the Golden Knights, as four of the five meetings have been decided by one goal, and the OVER has gone 4-1 thanks to an average of 7.6 goals scored.

Sharks at Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -196 Favorites

The Sharks hope to bounce back from a bad loss in the second game of a three-game road trip when they visit the Avalanche. San Jose was doubled up 6-3 by the Pacific Division-leading Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday as a +115 road underdog to halt a two-game winning streak, with the OVER cashing for the first time in four games. Colorado will be looking to end a four-game skid that has seen the team lose three times by just one goal. The last two losses have come in the first two games of a five-game homestand at the Pepsi Center, and the Avalanche have also dropped five of their last seven when closing as a favorite.

Coyotes at Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Canucks -140 Favorites

A pair of teams fighting for the Pacific Division lead are matched up in Vancouver as the Canucks host the Coyotes. Arizona is atop the Pacific with 57 points but Vancouver is only three behind despite playing two less games so far after winning nine of 12. The Coyotes stopped a three-game losing streak with a 6-3 rout of the Sharks on Tuesday as -135 home favorites, with the OVER on a 5-2 run, and they have won six of the past seven meetings.

Also on today’s schedule: Canadiens at Flyers, Kings at Panthers, Ducks at Predators, Lightning at Wild and Sabres at Stars.
