Senators at Sabres | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Sabres -175 Favorites

The Senators will be playing the second game of a back-to-back situation on Tuesday when they visit the well-rested Sabres. Ottawa is coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to the New Jersey Devils on Monday as a -125 home favorite, with the OVER improving to 2-0-1 in its last three games. The Senators trailed the Devils 2-1 going into the third period and then scored two short-handed goals in 35 seconds to take the lead before allowing their opponent to tie it up in the final minutes and force OT. Ottawa has now dropped 10 of 11 overall as well and will try to snap a three-game skid when playing the second game of a back-to-back, also losing eight of its last 10 under that scenario. Meanwhile, Buffalo will be playing for the first time since January 18, when the team fell 2-1 to the Nashville Predators as a +165 road underdog to break a three-game winning streak.

Blues at Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -115 Favorites

Like the Senators, the Blues will also be playing the second game of a back-to-back situation here when they visit the Flames. But unlike Ottawa, St. Louis is obviously a much stronger team and has a much better record on the road at 13-8-4 despite suffering its third consecutive loss overall 3-1 to the Vancouver Canucks as a -135 road favorite on Monday. The defending Stanley Cup champion Blues gave All-Star goaltender Jordan Binnington the night off versus the Canucks, although he should be back in the saddle here at the Scotiabank Saddledome. One concern for St. Louis is a hangover from being the host of the NHL All-Star Game and festivities last weekend, especially since the team has lost its last five games away from home. Calgary will try to take advantage of that and bounce back from a 5-2 loss at Ottawa on January 18 as a -165 road favorite after winning six of its previous seven games. The Flames have the lost the past three meetings too, with the UNDER going 3-0.
