Flyers vs Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flyers -155 Favorites

Philadelphia put an end to a two-game skid at New Jersey with a 5-3 victory Tuesday as a -150 road favorite and will go for the two-game sweep Thursday. The Flyers built an early 2-0 lead on a pair of goals from James van Riemsdyk and then cruised from there, with the OVER cashing in their third straight game and improving to 6-1 for them overall this season. Devils goalie Scott Wedgewood (26 saves) took the loss with Mackenzie Blackwood still on the COVID-19 list.

Penguins vs Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -125 Favorites

Boston will try to beat Pittsburgh for the 10th straight time at home in the finale of a two-game set. The Bruins jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on Tuesday and then got the game-winning goal from Craig Smith at the 4:49 mark of overtime for a 3-2 win as a -130 home favorite. The Penguins have now lost the past nine meetings at TD Garden, with the UNDER cashing in three of the last four. Pittsburgh had put together a four-game winning streak overall before that loss.

Lightning vs Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -145 Favorites

Carolina will be back on the ice to host Tampa Bay after sitting out more than a week due to COVID-19 protocols. The Hurricanes had won two of their first three games to start their season, with center Jordan Staal testing positive for the virus but returning to practice earlier this week. The Lightning are coming off their first loss of the year, falling to the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-2 as -170 road favorites last Saturday. The defending Stanley Cup champions have lost two of the past three meetings after winning seven of the previous eight in the series.

Islanders vs Capitals | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -140 Favorites

Washington remains the only team in the East Division without a regulation loss following a 3-2 victory against New York as a +110 home underdog on Tuesday. The Capitals are still without captain Alex Ovechkin, center Evgeny Kuznetsov, defenseman Dmitry Orlov and goaltender Ilya Samsonov due to COVID-19 protocols along with winger Tom Wilson (lower-body injury). The Islanders had won five of the previous six meetings in the series prior to their latest loss.

Rangers vs Sabres | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Rangers -109 Favorites

New York will look to break a four-game losing streak in the finale of a four-game road trip at Buffalo. The Rangers lost 3-2 to the Sabres in a pick’em matchup on Tuesday, and all four losses during their current skid have been decided by one goal. Meanwhile, Buffalo has won consecutive games for the first time this season and had lost seven of nine in the series. The UNDER is also on a 7-3-1 run in the past 11 meetings after cashing again in the latest game.

Sharks vs Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -238 Favorites

Colorado finally flexed its offensive muscles again in a 7-3 rout of San Jose as a -210 home favorite on Tuesday and will try to complete their first two-game sweep in this spot. The Avalanche saw the OVER cash in just their third game this year as they topped four goals for only the second time. They have yet to sweep an opponent too, splitting two games in each of their previous three series. The Sharks are in a similar boat, splitting a pair in their first three series and winning the second game in the last two. They will be wrapping up an eight-game road trip here before returning to Arizona to host the Vegas Golden Knights early next week.

Blues vs Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -147 Favorites

Vegas hopes to avoid its first losing streak of the year in the finale of a two-game set versus St. Louis. The Golden Knights fell 5-4 to the Blues in a shootout as -150 home favorites Tuesday despite a hat trick from Max Pacioretty. Vegas goalie Robin Lehner surrendered four goals in losing his second straight start while counterpart Jordan Binnington made a season-high 42 saves for St. Louis. The Golden Knights are expected to turn to Marc-Andre Fleury (3-0, 1.00 goals-against average) between the pipes, as they also continue to monitor their coaches who were not on the bench due to COVID-19 protocols. The OVER is on a 5-0 series run.

Maple Leafs vs Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -127 Favorites

Edmonton plays Toronto for the third time in five games in the opener of a two-game home series. The Maple Leafs hosted the Oilers last week – splitting two games – with each winning by two goals. Edmonton lost 6-4 to the Winnipeg Jets as a -115 road favorite Tuesday, as the OVER cashed for the second straight time. Toronto has won three in a row including the most recent meeting, sweeping the Calgary Flames by a combined score of 7-5 in its last two games.
