Flyers at Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -165 Favorites

The Flyers and Penguins both return to action on Friday playing against the same team they did before the all-star break – each other. Philadelphia blanked Pittsburgh 3-0 on January 21 as a +110 home underdog, with the UNDER cashing in its third straight game overall. The Flyers will be looking to extend their winning streak to three games as well, and they have also won four of their last five. The UNDER is on a 3-1 run for the Penguins.

Red Wings at Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Rangers -175 Favorites

The Red Wings will try to end a six-game losing streak when they visit the Rangers. Detroit has again been one of the most disappointing teams in the league, also getting outscored by two goals or more in five of the six losses. Meanwhile, New York has lost two games in a row at home and will look to avoid going winless on its three-game homestand that wraps up here. The Rangers had won four of their previous five before this skid, with the OVER going 4-1.

Capitals at Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -201 Favorites

The Capitals will attempt to get back on track following their first loss in five games when they visit the Senators. Washington fell 5-4 to the Nashville Predators on Wednesday as a -155 home favorite, losing for the eighth straight time in the series. The OVER has also gone 3-0-1 in the last four games for the Capitals. Ottawa has won two of its last three games after a season-high nine-game losing streak, including a 5-2 upset victory against the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday as a +170 road underdog, with the OVER cashing for the third straight time too.

Golden Knights at Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -154 Favorites

The Golden Knights will be without starting goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury as they resume action with a visit to the Hurricanes. Fleury will be serving a one-game suspension for Vegas after missing the all-star game, so backup Malcolm Subban will get the nod in net, and he has played much better on the road with a 5-5-2 mark and 2.82 goals-against average. Carolina will also be back in action and won its last two games prior to the break, with the UNDER on a 7-0 run.

Bruins at Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -140 Favorites

The Bruins are looking to put together consecutive wins for the first time since January 11 as they visit the Jets. In fact, outside of a three-game winning streak between January 7 and 11, you have to go back a month to find a similar positive run for Boston. But Winnipeg has struggled even more recently, winning as many as two straight games only once since December 10. The Jets are riding a four-game losing streak now, with the OVER on a 3-1 run.

Blues at Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -115 Favorites

The Blues will go for their second straight win away from home following a five-game road losing streak when they visit the Oilers. St. Louis is coming off a 5-4 overtime victory against the Calgary Flames on Tuesday as a +100 road underdog, with the OVER on a 3-1 run. Edmonton saw its two-game winning streak snapped with a 4-3  shootout loss to Calgary on Wednesday as a -120 home favorite, with the OVER also on a 3-1 run in its last four games.

Lightning at Ducks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -201 Favorites

The Ducks will look to pull off another upset as a home underdog when they host the Lightning. Anaheim is coming off a 4-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday as a +100 home underdog, the team’s third victory in four games overall after closing as a dog each time. Tampa Bay has alternated wins and losses in its last seven games going back to the end of a season-high 10-game winning streak between December 23 and January 11.  The Lightning doubled up the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 on Wednesday as -235 road favorites.
