Stars at Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -150 Favorites

The Stars will try to win three straight games for the first time in more than a month when they visit the Maple Leafs on Thursday night. Dallas put together a six-game winning streak between December 28 and January 9 but has not managed to win more than two in a row since then. The UNDER is also on a 3-0 run for the Stars on the betting totals. Toronto is coming off a 3-2 overtime win against the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday night as a -200 home favorite, with the UNDER cashing on the betting totals for the second straight time.

Oilers at Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -135 Favorites

The Lightning will look to extend their winning streak to nine games when they host the Oilers. Tampa Bay has gone a remarkable 20-2-1 in its last 23 games as well, winning each of its previous two by identical 2-1 scores in overtime, with the UNDER on a 5-0-1 run. However, the Lightning could be without their top two scorers in Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos due to injuries. Edmonton will be without captain Connor McDavid (quad) as well, with the team attempting to win three games in a row in the opener of a three-game road trip.

Coyotes at Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -140 Favorites

The Coyotes wrap up a four-game road trip versus the Senators, who will be looking to end a six-game skid. Ottawa has been outscored 22-9 during its losing streak, with the UNDER cashing in four of its last five. Arizona has seen the UNDER go 5-2 in its past seven games while winning just twice during that stretch. The Coyotes have scored more than three goals once in the first three games of their road trip and won that game 3-2 against the Montreal Canadiens on Monday as +125 underdogs before losing 3-2 to the Maple Leafs on Tuesday.

Islanders at Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -130 Favorites

The Predators return home from a four-game road trip to face the Islanders. Nashville started the trip with two wins and then ended it with two losses, with the UNDER going 3-1 overall. Meanwhile, New York opens a four-game road trip here after winning four of its previous five games. One of those victories for the Islanders came at the Washington Capitals 5-3 on Monday as +155 road underdogs, with the OVER cashing again as part of a larger 5-1 run.

Rangers at Wild | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Wild -133 Favorites

The Wild continue their run at a playoff spot when they host the Rangers. Minnesota has won four of its last five games to move up the Central Division standings and contend for a Wild Card berth following a 4-0 rout of the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday as a +130 home underdog. Defense has been the difference for the Wild, with the UNDER on a 4-0-1 run. New York does not have the same kind of shot to make the postseason in a loaded Eastern Conference, but the team has found a way to win three of four with the UNDER on a 3-1 run.

Capitals at Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -125 Favorites

A potential Stanley Cup Final preview will take place in Denver when the Avalanche host the Capitals. Colorado is riding a five-game winning streak and has also won eight of nine, with the UNDER on a 4-0 run after a 4-0 OVER run. Washington has lost two games in a row and three of four, with the OVER on a 7-0-2 run, as leading scorer Alex Ovechkin remains two goals shy of the 700 mark in his illustrious career.

Blues at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -135 Favorites

The Blues hope to move on from a scary incident Tuesday as they visit the Golden Knights. St. Louis defenseman Jay Bouwmeester suffered a cardiac episode in the first period against the Anaheim Ducks, causing the game to be postponed. The Blues went into that game losers of two in a row, four of five and seven of nine. Vegas rallied from a 3-0 deficit to defeat St. Louis 5-4 in overtime the last time they met on January 4 at T-Mobile Arena. Since then, the Knights have lost nine of 13, including three of four under new head coach Peter DeBoer.

Flames at Ducks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -120 Favorites

The Flames will be playing the second game of a back-to-back situation versus the Ducks and hope the back end turns out better than the front. Calgary fell to the Los Angeles Kings 5-3 on Wednesday as a -140 road favorite, halting the team’s two-game winning streak. The Flames have lost six of the last nine times they have played the second game of a back-to-back as well, with the UNDER on a 7-2-1 run in the past 10. Anaheim is back at home following a five-game road trip that saw the team go 3-0-2. The Ducks saw Tuesday’s game at the Pond postponed though after Bouwmeester’s cardiac episode on the bench for the Blues.

Also on today’s schedule: Red Wings at Devils, Blue Jackets at Sabres and Flyers at Panthers.
