Rangers at Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -175 Favorites

The Rangers continue their surprising late-season surge when they visit the Hurricanes in the finale of a two-game road trip. New York has won five of its last six games and eight of 11 to stay relevant in a stacked Eastern Conference, pulling to within six points of a Wild Card playoff spot. But Carolina is one of the teams ahead in the standings following a 4-1 victory against the Nashville Predators as a +105 road underdog on Tuesday.

Red Wings at Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -355 Favorites

The Islanders return home from a winless four-game road trip to host the Red Wings on Friday. New York also saw the UNDER go 4-0 during its trip as the team was outscored by an 11-2 margin. Fortunately for the Islanders, they have won their last three home games by a combined score of 14-9, with the OVER going 3-0. Detroit is coming off a 4-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday as a +170 home underdog to end a four-game skid.

Predators at Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -130 Favorites

Two teams battling for a Wild Card playoff spot in the Western Conference will square off in Chicago when the Blackhawks host the Predators. Chicago is in much worse position though after losing two games in a row and seven of eight after falling 6-3 to New York on Wednesday as a -130 home favorite. Nashville has five more points right now but saw its three-game winning streak end Tuesday with a 4-1 loss to Carolina as a -125 home favorite.

Stars at Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Stars -133 Favorites

The Stars will try to move back into a tie for first place in the Central Division when they host the Blues. Dallas is the hotter of the two teams, winning five of its last six games following a 3-2 victory against the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday as a -165 home favorite. St. Louis has headed in the opposite direction, ending a season-high five-game skid on Tuesday with a 3-0 win over the New Jersey Devils as a -280 home favorite. The Blues followed that up Thursday with a 1-0 victory against the Arizona Coyotes as a -175 home favorite to stay ahead of the Stars, but they have lost two straight when playing the second game of a back-to-back.

Bruins at Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -155 Favorites

The Bruins will look to extend their winning streak to five games in the third game of a four-game road trip when they visit the Flames. Boston has not allowed more than one goal during its winning streak, with goaltender Tuukka Rask (23-5-6, 2.04 goals-against average) between the pipes for three of the games and the UNDER on a 5-0 run overall. Calgary has seen much higher-scoring games lately in winning four of six, with the OVER on a 6-0 run.

Wild at Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Oilers -110 Favorites

The Oilers hope to bounce back from a tough loss and stay atop the Pacific Division when they host the Wild. Edmonton fell 2-1 to Boston in overtime on Wednesday as a +165 home underdog after winning four of its previous five games to move into first place in the Pacific. Meanwhile, Minnesota halted a two-game skid with a 4-3 overtime victory against the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday as a +120 road underdog, the first win for the team since firing head coach Bruce Boudreau in the opener of a two-game road trip that ends here

Avalanche at Ducks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -145 Favorites

The Avalanche open a two-game road trip through Southern California when they visit the Ducks. Colorado is coming off a 3-1 win over the New York Islanders as a -155 home favorite on Wednesday to end a three-game losing streak, with the UNDER cashing for the seventh time in eight games. The Avalanche have also won six of seven when playing the first game of a back-to-back situation.  Anaheim began a three-game homestand on Wednesday with a 4-1 loss to the Florida Panthers as a +110 underdog, as the team lost for the second straight time and fifth time in seven games.
