Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -270 Favorites
The Avalanche will go for a season-high seventh consecutive victory overall and ninth in a row on the road Monday when they visit the Red Wings. Colorado has not lost away from home since falling 6-3 to the Philadelphia Flyers back on February 1 as a -150 road favorite. The UNDER is also on a 6-0 run for the Avalanche, who have gotten outstanding goaltending from Pavel Francouz (19-5-3, 2.24 goals-against average), the starter for every game during the winning streak. Detroit has gone in the other direction, riding a five-game skid and losing nine of 10, with three of the past four coming at home. The Red Wings have picked up their last two wins at home though as sizable underdogs.

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -135 Favorites
Two Western Conference teams battling for playoff positioning will meet in Nashville when the Predators host the Oilers. Nashville currently resides in the second wild card spot in the West after going 6-3-1 in its last 10 games while Edmonton is hoping to pick up some ground on the Pacific Division-leading Vegas Golden Knights as the second-place team there. The Oilers rallied back from a 2-1 deficit against the Winnipeg Jets to beat them 3-2 as -155 home favorites on Saturday after losing four of their previous five games. Meanwhile, the Predators saw their three-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday with a 3-2 loss to the Avalanche as -135 home favorites after winning the first three games of their five-game homestand. Nashville’s last five wins have all been decided by only one goal, with three of them finishing OVER the total.
