Capitals at Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -145 Favorites

The Capitals will try to bounce back from a disappointing loss on Wednesday when they visit the Rangers in the second game of a back-to-back situation. Washington fell 5-2 to the Philadelphia Flyers 5-2 as a -150 home favorite and saw its lead in the Metropolitan Division shrink to only one point, with the OVER cashing for the fourth time in five games. New York will be looking to break a three-game losing streak, with the OVER on a 4-1 run as well.

Bruins at Panthers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -149 Favorites

The Bruins will be looking to extend their winning streak to four games when they visit the Panthers in the finale of a three-game road trip. Boston has won the first two games of the trip by a combined score of 6-1 after downing the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 as a +100 underdog on Tuesday. Florida has headed in the opposite direction and will be trying to end a three-game skid, also losing five of six to put the team in danger of missing the postseason.

Penguins at Sabres | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -165 Favorites

The Penguins will attempt to win consecutive games for the first time since February 18 when they visit the Sabres. Pittsburgh ended a season-high six-game losing streak Tuesday with a 7-3 rout of the Ottawa Senators as -320 home favorites, with the OVER cashing for the first time in four games. Meanwhile, Buffalo will try to break a four-game skid back at home after losing all four games on the road. But the Sabres have won four of five against the Penguins.

Hurricanes at Flyers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flyers -160 Favorites

The Flyers could take over the lead in the Metropolitan Division with a win over the Hurricanes and loss by the Capitals. Philadelphia routed Washington 5-2 on Wednesday as a +130 road underdog to extend its winning streak to a season-high seven games. The OVER is also 8-0-2 in the last 10 games for the Flyers, who have scored four goals or more in seven straight, which they have not done since 1993. Both streaks could continue here considering Carolina has lost three in a row and four of five, surrendering four goals or more three times.

Canadiens at Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -195 Favorites

The Lightning will be looking to turn things around at home when they host the Canadiens. Tampa Bay has dropped five of its last six games, including three of four at home as a favorite of -120 or higher. The OVER is also on a 7-1 run for the Lightning. Montreal has won two straight and four of six, with the OVER on a 4-0 run.

Stars at Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -115 Favorites

The Stars may or may not have starting goaltender Ben Bishop available for this key road matchup with the Predators. Bishop was the key in last year’s first-round playoff series between the teams, and he is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury. He missed Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers, with Dallas falling for the third game in a row as a -160 home favorite. Nashville has also lost three straight, getting outscored 14-6 during that stretch, including an 8-3 loss to Edmonton as a -145 home favorite on Monday.

Oilers at Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blackhawks -120 Favorites

The Oilers visit the Blackhawks trying to pull even with the Vegas Golden Knights for first place in the Pacific Division. Edmonton is riding a three-game winning streak since losing 3-0 at Vegas last Wednesday as a +180 road underdog, with the UNDER on a 3-1 run as well. Chicago has also won three games in a row to keep its slim playoff hopes alive, with the OVER on a 3-1 run. The Blackhawks have outscored opponents 14-6 during their streak.

Wild at Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Pick’em -105 Odds

The Wild begin an important three-game road trip versus the Sharks after winning four of their last five games and six of eight. Minnesota is coming off a 3-1 victory against Nashville on Tuesday as a -130 home favorite, but the team has gone just 14-15-2 on the road this season. San Jose has won three straight games for the first time since November 25, with each of them taking place at home, where the team is 17-15-1. The Sharks have won the last two as solid underdogs, upsetting the Penguins 5-0 (+155) and the Maple Leafs 5-2 (+140).

Also on today’s schedule: Islanders at Senators and Maple Leafs at Kings.
