The OVER also cashed to end a five-game UNDER streak for Boston. The Panthers have lost their last five games, with four of them going past regulation and two resulting from a shootout.

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -140 Favorites

The Penguins avoided a letdown with a 3-2 overtime win over the Panthers at home on Tuesday, their third victory in four games overall. The first win during that stretch came against the Blue Jackets 5-2 as +135 road underdogs on February 26. Columbus continues to chase Pittsburgh for a Wild Card playoff spot and can pull even with a victory here.

The Red Wings are mired in their worst losing streak of the season, failing to register a win in eight straight games, with six of them coming as underdogs. They are 2-2 in their last four games as favorites, but the UNDER is 6-1-1 in their last eight games playing that role. The Rangers have not been much better lately with a current five-game skid, all as underdogs.

The Islanders are still battling for first place in the Metropolitan Division with the defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals and cannot afford to slip up in this spot on the road. The Senators have lost eight of their last nine games after falling 5-4 at New York in a shootout as +260 underdogs on Tuesday in the first game of this home-and-home series.

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -220 Favorites

The Lightning are an NHL-best 28-5-2 at home this season en route to the NHL’s best record overall. But the Wild have played better on the road this year than they have at home, going a solid 18-14-2. In fact, Minnesota had won four games in a row away from home before losing 5-4 to the Nashville Predators in a shootout on Tuesday night as +155 underdogs.

This is a key Western Conference matchup between two teams fighting for a Wild Card spot, with the Stars holding a three-point lead over the Avalanche. Dallas is riding a three-game winning streak and is also battling the St. Louis Blues for third place in the Central Division. The Stars have won three of the past four in this series, with the UNDER cashing each time.

All of a sudden, the Oilers have a shot at the postseason with wins in three straight games and five of seven, capped by a 4-3 comeback victory on the road at Buffalo on Tuesday as +110 underdogs. They begin a four-game homestand against the Canucks on Thursday night.

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -150 Favorites

The Coyotes saw their six-game winning streak come to an end with a 3-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks as -160 home favorites on Tuesday. The UNDER is 7-3 in their last 10 games, and they will be hosting a Flames team coming off a road matchup with Vegas on Wednesday. Calgary is 3-1 in its last four in the second game of a back-to-back situation.

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -150 Favorites

The Blues will be playing the second game of a back-to-back situation as well after visiting the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday. They are just 2-10 in their last 12 under that scenario. The Kings have lost 11 of their last 12 games though after falling 3-1 to the Montreal Canadiens as +120 home underdogs on Tuesday. The OVER is on a 5-1 run for Los Angeles.

Opening NHL Odds: Sharks -175 Favorites

The Sharks are within striking distance of the Pacific Division lead again after winning two games in a row. They are also 11-4 in their last 15 games and have not closed as underdogs since February 7. The Canadiens opened a three-game road trip through the state of California with a 3-1 win over the Kings as -140 favorites on Tuesday.
