The Islanders have been blanked in each of their last two games following a 4-0 defeat against the Montreal Canadiens as +130 road underdogs on Thursday. The Flyers are still alive for a Wild Card spot, sitting five points behind the Canadiens. The Blackhawks face a crucial stretch in the first game of a home-and-home series with the Avalanche as they battle for a Wild Card spot in the West. The Wild will be playing on back-to-back nights following a huge 2-1 victory against the Capitals as +160 road underdogs on Friday. The Hurricanes are also fighting for postseason positioning, sitting in the first Wild Card spot in the East even though they fell 6-3 to the Tampa Bay Lightning as -145 home favorites on Thursday. In the Pacific Division, the Flames hold a four-point lead on the San Jose Sharks, who fell 4-3 to the Anaheim Ducks in overtime on Friday for their fifth consecutive loss. Calgary can move one step closer to the Pacific title with a victory against a Vancouver team that has won three games in a row. The Canucks do not have much of a shot at the playoffs at this point, but they have performed well in the role of spoilers during their winning streak, pulling off back-to-back road upsets of the Dallas Stars and Chicago Blackhawks as +190 and +200 underdogs.

The Golden Knights hope to continue benefiting from the struggles of the Sharks, as they can pull within four points of second place in the Pacific Division with a win over the Red Wings. Vegas routed Winnipeg 5-0 as a -180 home favorite on Thursday thanks in part to the strong play in net from goaltender Malcolm Subban, who posted his first career shutout. The Golden Knights also improved to 10-1 since acquiring Mark Stone from the Ottawa Senators before the trade deadline. Detroit has gone in the other direction, losing 13 of its last 16 games following a 5-2 defeat at St. Louis as a +290 road underdog on Thursday.
