Here’s a look at the NHL odds and betting trends for the full slate of games on today’s schedule. All NHL betting lines are as listed at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Coyotes at Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -145 Favorites

The Coyotes saw the Avalanche pull even with them for the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference due to a three-game losing streak heading into Friday’s action, then the Minnesota Wild pass them after beating the Washington Capitals. They cannot afford to lose here against a Devils team that has also dropped three in a row. New Jersey has closed as an underdog in 14 consecutive games now, losing 11 of them, with the UNDER on a 3-1 run. Arizona had won four of five prior to its skid, winning two as a favorite and two as a dog.

Islanders at Flyers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flyers -120 Favorites

The Islanders have been blanked in each of their last two games following a 4-0 defeat against the Montreal Canadiens as +130 road underdogs on Thursday. They have seen the UNDER cash in six straight games now and trail the Washington Capitals by three points for the lead in the Metropolitan Division. The Flyers are still alive for a Wild Card spot, sitting five points behind the Canadiens. They upset the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 as +105 road underdogs on Thursday and have seen the UNDER cash in their last three games.

Blackhawks at Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -139 Favorites

The Blackhawks face a crucial stretch in the first game of a home-and-home series with the Avalanche as they battle for a Wild Card spot in the West. Chicago visits Colorado first and then plays host in the rematch on Sunday. The Avalanche are tied with the Coyotes, only one point behind the last spot held by the Wild thanks to a three-game winning streak after topping the Dallas Stars 3-1 as +135 road underdogs on Thursday. The Blackhawks are four points behind them. The UNDER is on a 3-0 run for Colorado and Chicago alike.

Senators at Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Oilers -225 Favorites

The Senators scored the first goal versus the Flames on Thursday before allowing five unanswered in a 5-1 defeat as +375 road underdogs. They have lost two games in a row and six of eight, with the UNDER also on a 4-2 run. The Oilers ended a two-game skid with a 4-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets as +115 home underdogs on Thursday, but it may be too little too late as they chase a playoff berth.

Sabres at Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -185 Favorites

The Canadiens are holding on to the second Wild Card spot in the East right now following two straight wins against the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Islanders after losing four of their previous five games. The UNDER is on a 5-0 run for Montreal. Meanwhile, the Sabres have dropped eight of their last nine games, with the UNDER going 4-1-1 in their last six.

Rangers at Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -300 Favorites

The Rangers are riding a five-game losing streak, with the UNDER going 3-1-1 because they have failed to score more than two goals during that stretch. The Maple Leafs have had more of a problem stopping goals than scoring them lately as they have dropped four of six. The OVER is 4-2 in Toronto’s last six as the team has surrendered five goals or more four times.

Bruins at Panthers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -130 Favorites

The Bruins are on a three-game winning streak following a three-game skid, and they currently sit six points ahead of the Maple Leafs for second place in the Atlantic Division. The Panthers are seven points behind the Canadiens for the second Wild Card spot in the East but doubled up the Arizona Coyotes 4-2 as -130 home favorites on Thursday.

Predators at Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Jets -125 Favorites

The Jets own a two-point lead on the Predators in the Central Division with one game in hand despite getting blanked 5-0 by the Vegas Golden Knights as +160 road underdogs Thursday. Winnipeg’s four-game winning streak ended, but the UNDER cashed for the fourth straight time. Nashville fell 2-1 to the Pittsburgh Penguins as a -145 home favorite Thursday too, with the UNDER cashing for the fifth game in a row. The Predators have lost two of the first three meetings this season after falling to the Jets in the second round of the playoffs last year.

Wild at Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -160 Favorites

The Wild will be playing on back-to-back nights following a huge 2-1 victory against the Capitals as +160 road underdogs on Friday. Minnesota moved back into the second Wild Card spot in the West and saw the UNDER cash for the third straight time. The Hurricanes are also fighting for postseason positioning, sitting in the first Wild Card spot in the East even though they fell 6-3 to the Tampa Bay Lightning as -145 home favorites on Thursday. The Wild have lost three in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation.

Penguins at Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Stars -115 Favorites

The Penguins can move into second place in the Metropolitan Division with a victory here combined with a loss by the Islanders. They are coming off a huge 2-1 win over the Predators as +125 road underdogs on Thursday, as the UNDER also improved to 4-0-1 in their last five games. The Stars have dropped three of their last four games after falling 3-1 to the Avalanche as -155 home favorites on Thursday. The UNDER is 8-1-1 in the past 10 for Dallas.

Lightning at Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -125 Favorites

The Blues will try to snap a seven-game winning streak for the Lightning, who have already clinched the Presidents’ Trophy for the most points. St. Louis has won two games in a row to move four points ahead of the Stars and within four points of the Predators for second place in the Central Division. The Blues have been favored in each of their last three games though with the OVER cashing each time. The OVER is also on a 5-1 run for Tampa Bay.

Flames at Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -165 Favorites

In the Pacific Division, the Flames hold a four-point lead on the San Jose Sharks, who fell 4-3 to the Anaheim Ducks in overtime on Friday for their fifth consecutive loss. Calgary can move one step closer to the Pacific title with a victory against a Vancouver team that has won three games in a row. The Canucks do not have much of a shot at the playoffs at this point, but they have performed well in the role of spoilers during their winning streak, pulling off back-to-back road upsets of the Dallas Stars and Chicago Blackhawks as +190 and +200 underdogs.

Red Wings at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -305 Favorites

The Golden Knights hope to continue benefiting from the struggles of the Sharks, as they can pull within four points of second place in the Pacific Division with a win over the Red Wings. Vegas routed Winnipeg 5-0 as a -180 home favorite on Thursday thanks in part to the strong play in net from goaltender Malcolm Subban, who posted his first career shutout. The Golden Knights also improved to 10-1 since acquiring Mark Stone from the Ottawa Senators before the trade deadline. Detroit has gone in the other direction, losing 13 of its last 16 games following a 5-2 defeat at St. Louis as a +290 road underdog on Thursday.

Ducks at Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Kings -125 Favorites

The Ducks will be playing on back-to-back nights after edging the Sharks, and they have dropped five of their last six games in this situation. Anaheim upset San Jose as a +125 home underdog on Friday but has lost two straight meetings with Los Angeles following a three-game series winning streak. The UNDER is also 3-0-1 in the past four meetings, and the Kings ended a three-game skid with a 4-2 win over the Sharks as +180 underdogs Thursday.
