Penguins vs Flyers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -125 Favorites

Fresh off a sweep of Washington, Pittsburgh will try to avoid a letdown in the first of two road games at Philadelphia. The Penguins blanked the Capitals 3-0 as -115 road favorites Saturday to take over first place in the East Division, with the UNDER cashing for the third time in their last four. Meanwhile, Philadelphia has lost three games in a row, with the OVER on a 3-1 run. The Flyers are relegated to playing spoilers now after being eliminated from playoff contention.

Blackhawks vs Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -222 Favorites

Chicago is on the brink of being eliminated from postseason contention and will attempt to end a four-game losing streak in the first of three at Carolina. The Blackhawks face a tough task against the leaders in the Central Division after going 1-3-1 on a five-game homestand, with the OVER going 4-1. The Hurricanes own a two-point lead atop the Central over the Panthers and the Lightning thanks to a three-game winning streak.

Capitals vs Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Pick’em -107 Odds

Washington looks to rebound from a two-game skid in the opener of a two-game road set at New York. The Capitals were swept at home in two games by the Penguins, giving up the lead in the East in the process. The Rangers are close to being eliminated from playoff contention as well after they failed to score a goal in two games versus the Islanders, getting outscored 7-0 with the UNDER on a 3-0 run in their last three. New York has won four of the six meetings with Washington, and the OVER is on a 2-0 series run after the UNDER cashed in the first four.

Maple Leafs vs Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -135 Favorites

A possible first-round playoff preview will take place in Montreal when Toronto visits the Bell Centre. The Canadiens have a shot to catch the Jets for third in the East Division though after winning two straight and three of four while the Maple Leafs remain in control of their own destiny atop the division. Montreal has dropped five of the first seven meetings with Toronto, with the UNDER going 4-1-1 in the last six. The Maple Leafs are riding a five-game winning streak overall.

Golden Knights vs Wild | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -125 Favorites

Vegas continues a four-game road trip with the first of two games at Minnesota. The Golden Knights are coming off a two-game split against the Coyotes, and they have won 11 of their last 12. However, the Wild beat them twice on their home ice prior to their 10-game winning streak and have won four of the six meetings overall this season. Minnesota still has a chance to catch Colorado for second in the West Division despite losing two of three to St. Louis recently. The OVER is on a 5-0 run for the Wild, but the UNDER has gone 3-1 in the past four meetings.

Kings vs Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -154 Favorites

Arizona’s slim playoff hopes will be on the line in the first of two road games at Los Angeles. The Coyotes earned a two-game home split versus the Golden Knights over the weekend, with the UNDER going 2-0. But Arizona trails St. Louis by three points for fourth in the West and has played three more games. The Kings have alternated losses and wins in each of their last five games, with the UNDER going 4-1. These teams have split six meetings so far this year.

Avalanche vs Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -208 Favorites

Colorado will go for four wins in a row over San Jose in the third game of this four-game series between the teams. The Avalanche edged the Sharks 4-3 as massive -320 home favorites on Saturday, and they will be opening a key five-game road trip at the SAP Center. Colorado sits four points behind Vegas for the lead in the West with one game in hand, and the team has won five of the six meetings with San Jose in 2021, but has split the two played on the road.

Oilers vs Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Oilers -178 Favorites

Edmonton opens a four-game series with Vancouver on the road, and these teams will face each other five more times before the end of the season. The Oilers are chasing the Maple Leafs for the North Division title but sit nine points behind them with two games in hand. Edmonton is coming off a 4-1 victory against Calgary as a -135 home favorite on Saturday and has won three of four along with five of seven and seven of 10. The Canucks have virtually no chance of making the playoffs with 11 games to go after losing four straight and five of six.
