Golden Knights vs Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -154 Favorites

Two games, two shutouts. Will Thursday’s Game 3 of the Western Conference Final see both the Golden Knights and Stars score for the first time in the series? The oddsmakers think so in keeping the total at 5.5 rather than dropping a full goal down from 6, which was the closing number for the first two games. The UNDER has cashed in five straight for Vegas thanks to the fourth shutout in seven starts for goaltender Robin Lehner, who made 24 saves in blanking Dallas 3-0 in Game 2 on Tuesday. The Golden Knights were -170 favorites with the pressure on them after losing Game 1 as -160 chalk 1-0 to the Stars on Sunday.

Dallas played well in the first period before allowing Vegas to score three times in the second. That barrage prompted the Stars to give goalie Anton Khudobin the third period off so he could get some rest in what might be a long series. The Golden Knights got goals from Paul Stastny, William Karlsson and Tomas Nosek to even the series, and now they will try to win two games in a row for the first time since August 30. They proceeded to lose three of four after that before winning Game 2. Dallas will look to avoid losing two straight for the first time since taking a 2-0 series lead over the Colorado Avalanche in the second round.

The UNDER is also 3-1 in the past four games for the Stars and 7-3-1 in the 11 all-time meetings between the teams dating back to 2017.
