Blackhawks vs Flyers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Pick’em -125 Odds

The Blackhawks and Flyers will square off early North American time on Friday in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Chicago did not finish the NHL portion of its preseason schedule strong, getting outscored 14-2 by two tough Eastern Conference opponents in the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals. Philadelphia is not in that same class but has dominated the series since falling in the 2010 Stanley Cup Final, winning 10 of the past 14 meetings. That includes a current three-game series winning streak.

Maple Leafs at Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -145 Favorites

The Maple Leafs play their first road game of the 2019/20 campaign after going an impressive 23-12-6 away from home last season. Toronto knocked off the Ottawa Senators 5-3 in their season opener on Wednesday behind two goals from Auston Matthews. This will be the season opener for the Blue Jackets, who are a much different team than the one that played in last year’s playoffs. Gone from Columbus are goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, winger Artemi Panarin and center Matt Duchene. The Maple Leafs have won three of the past four meetings with the Blue Jackets after a three-game series losing streak and dropping six of seven.

Jets at Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Devils -148 Favorites

The Jets will play their second game in as many days following a disappointing 6-4 road loss to the New York Rangers on Thursday. Winnipeg goaltender Connor Hellebuyck surrendered five goals on 31 shots while winger Blake Wheeler scored two goals to lead the team offensively. The new-look Devils have high expectations for this season after adding defenseman P.K. Subban and wingers Wayne Simmonds and Nikita Gusev in the offseason plus drafting Jack Hughes with the top overall pick. New Jersey has lost the previous six meetings though, winning only two of the past 12 games in the series dating back to 2013.

Capitals at Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -135 Favorites

Two Metropolitan Division rivals meet in New York when the Islanders host the Capitals. Former Washington head coach Barry Trotz earned NHL Coach of the Year honors last season with New York, as his new team nearly won the division. The Capitals finished one point ahead of the Islanders to take the Metro title and won five of the seven meetings, with the UNDER cashing in the last three. Washington edged the defending Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues 3-2 in overtime on Wednesday, cashing as +140 road underdogs.

Golden Knights at Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -129 Favorites

These Pacific Division rivals will battle for the third time in six days after the Golden Knights took the first two at home by a combined score of 9-2. Vegas won the first game to close out the preseason 5-1 last Sunday before beating San Jose again 4-1 on Wednesday in the season opener for both teams. The Golden Knights got two goals from Reilly Smith and one each from rookie Cody Glass and Mark Stone while goalie Marc Andre-Fleury made 21 saves. The Sharks had won the previous three meetings – all in the postseason – but they have dropped six of nine in the series played during the regular season now. San Jose will again be without winger Evander Kane due to a three-game suspension from Sunday’s game.
