The Lightning have dominated the rival Panthers in past seasons, going 9-1 in their past 10 meetings dating back to 2017 including a 5-2 victory as -180 home favorites on the moneyline on Thursday night. That OVER result pushed the OVER/UNDER to 8-2 in the past 10 games between the Florida clubs. Nikita Kucherov had a goal and an assist for the Lightning in Thursday’s season-opening victory, while Andrei Vasilevskiy made 35 saves on 37 shots.

Canadiens at Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -265 Favorites

The Canadiens have won just once in their past eight games against the Maple Leafs, but that victory came in the most recent meeting between the Original Six clubs last April – a 6-5 Montreal win at -110 on the NHL odds. The OVER is 3-0 in the last three games between the two teams. Montreal came up short in its season-opening game on Thursday night, falling 4-3 in a shootout on the road at Carolina. The Habs failed to pay out as +140 road underdogs.

Red Wings at Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -215 Favorites

The Red Wings haven’t had much trouble against the Predators in recent meetings, going 9-1 in their last 10 matchups dating back to 2015. That includes a pair of victories over Nashville last season, a 4-3 win as +160 home underdogs in January and a 3-2 win as +210 road underdogs in February. The UNDER is 4-1 in the last five games between the two teams. The Predators rolled to a 5-2 win as -170 home favorites over the Wild in their opener Thursday.

Stars at Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -144 Favorites

The Stars and Blues have split their last 10 meetings at five victories apiece, but St. Louis knocked out Dallas in seven games in their second-round playoff series last spring en route to winning the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history. The OVER/UNDER is 4-3-2 for totals bettors in the last 10 games between the teams dating to last January. The Blues lost in their season opener hosting the Capitals on Wednesday, falling 3-2 as -160 home favorites.

Wild at Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -175 Favorites

The Wild and Avalanche split their four meetings last season at two victories apiece, and the teams are also dead even at five wins apiece in their last 10 matchups with the OVER/UNDER at 5-4-1 for totals bettors over that stretch. Colorado got its season off on right foot on Thursday night with a 5-3 win over the Flames as -130 home favorites on the betting lines, while the Wild were +150 underdogs in their loss to the Predators on Thursday night.

Canucks at Flames  | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -180 Favorites

The Flames will be seeking a bounceback after that opening-night loss to the Avalanche, but they’re just 5-5 in their last 10 games against the Canucks including a 2-3 record against them last season. The OVER is 7-3 in the last 10 games between the teams, but just 1-2 in their three most recent matchups. The Canucks opened their season back on Wednesday on the road against the Oilers, falling by a 3-2 score in that contest at +110 on the moneyline.

Kings at Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Oilers -148 Favorites

The Oilers are 5-5 in their last 10 games against the Kings, although they blasted Los Angeles 8-4 as -200 home favorites on the moneyline in the most recent meeting between the teams last March. That was just the second OVER result for totals bettors in the last five games between the two teams, although the OVER/UNDER is 5-5 in their last 10 matchups. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl each scored for Edmonton in Wednesday night’s victory.

Bruins at Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -121 Favorites

The Bruins have won 14 straight games against the Coyotes dating back to October 2010, beating them 2-1 on the road at -110 on the moneyline and 4-3 at home at -170 on the moneyline in their two matchups last season. The OVER/UNDER has gone 6-3-1 in the last 10 games between the teams, and 3-1 in their last four matchups. The Coyotes fell 2-1 to the Ducks in their opener on Thursday night, with the Bruins coming off a 2-1 victory over Dallas.
