Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -118 Favorites

The Lightning have earned the win in eight of their last 10 games against the Hurricanes dating back to 2016, with the OVER/UNDER split at 5-5 in those matchups. Last season Tampa Bay topped Carolina 4-2 as a -165 home favorite in October and 3-1 as a -220 home favorite in January before doubling up the Hurricanes 6-3 at +125 on the moneyline in March.  Tampa Bay is coming off a 4-3 upset loss to the Panthers on Saturday night as -130 road favorites, while the Hurricanes knocked off the Capitals 3-2 at +105 on the road on Saturday.

Stars at Red Wings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Stars -155 Favorites

The OVER has paid off on the betting lines in six of the last 10 games between the Stars and the Red Wings, including a 4-0-1 run for the totals in their last five matchups. The Red Wings and Stars are an even 5-5 over their last 10 most recent meetings, but Dallas has the recent edge with four victories over the last five games between the two teams since January 2017. The Stars fell 3-2 on the road at the Blues on Saturday night in a game in which they were +125 underdogs, while the Red Wings were +215 underdogs in their 5-3 victory at Nashville.

Jets at Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -125 Favorites

The OVER has gone 7-2-1 over the 10 most recent games between the Jets and the Islanders, but just 2-2-1 in their last five meetings dating back to March 2017. Last season’s meetings saw each team win on the road, with Winnipeg getting a 3-1 victory at -135 on the moneyline in December and then New York grabbing a 5-4 win as +145 underdogs in March. The Islanders lost 2-1 in their opener at home against the Capitals on Friday night as -120 betting favorites, while the Jets had a comeback 5-4 victory at New Jersey at +125 on Friday.
