Here’s a look at the NHL odds and betting trends for the games on today’s schedule.

All NHL betting lines below are as listed at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Hurricanes at Panthers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -115 Favorites

The Hurricanes will try to stay perfect when they visit the Panthers off a home-and-home series with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Carolina has won all of its first three games by one goal each, beating the Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens at home and the Capitals on the road. The Hurricanes closed as underdogs twice. Meanwhile, Florida found a way to defeat Tampa Bay 4-3 on Saturday as a +110 home underdog after losing the first game on the road 5-2 on Thursday. The Panthers have lost six of the past seven meetings.

Jets at Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -145 Favorites

The Penguins will be without Evgeni Malkin indefinitely due to a injury, putting even more pressure on Sidney Crosby to perform at a high level in his absence. That said, the Jets are tied with the Columbus Blue Jackets for the most goals allowed through the first three games (14), giving up four or more each time so far. Pittsburgh will try to take advantage of that trend and has absolutely dominated this series with Winnipeg dating back to 2008 when the team was known as the Atlanta Thrashers, going an amazing 25-5 in the past 30 meetings.

Stars at Capitals | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -150 Favorites

The winless Stars were supposed to be much better than they have shown in their first three games, and the schedule obviously does not get any easier here with a visit to the Capitals. Dallas has lost each of its first three games by exactly one goal, capped by a 4-3 setback on the road to the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday night. The Stars gave up four goals to Anthony Mantha and fell as -165 road favorites. Washington has also seen its first three games decided by one goal apiece, with the UNDER cashing each time.

Sharks at Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -150 Favorites

The Sharks are another team searching for their first victory and must try to do so away from home for the third time in four games. San Jose has dropped all three games by two goals or more, with goaltender Martin Jones (0-2, 4.80 goals-against average) taking both losses against the Vegas Golden Knights. The Predators have split their first two home games and are 5-4 in the past nine meetings since losing to the Sharks in the 2016 playoffs.

Bruins at Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -145 Favorites

The Bruins continue a four-game road trip in Las Vegas and will attempt to defeat the Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena for the second consecutive season. Boston edged Vegas 3-2 in overtime last year there as a +120 road underdog and has won the past three meetings in the series overall since losing the first one 3-1 as a -162 road favorite on October 15, 2017. The UNDER has also cashed in all four meetings and is 2-0 for the Bruins so far.

Also on today’s schedule: Oilers at Islanders, Ducks at Red Wings, and Kings at Flames.
