The Maple Leafs are off to a middling 2-2-1 start through five games this season, but they’re 7-3 in their last 10 games against the Red Wings dating back to March 2017 with the OVER/UNDER 6-4 in that stretch.

Opening NHL Odds: Blackhawks -115 Favorites

The Blackhawks are 0-2 to start the season and 0-5 in their last five games against the Jets dating back to April 2018 as they teams prepare to meet in Chicago on Saturday, with the OVER having paid off on the NHL totals in seven of their last 10 meetings. The Jets have won their last two games, including a 5-2 victory hosting Minnesota as a -120 favorite on Thursday.

The Penguins evened their record at 2-2 through four games with a 2-1 win against the Ducks as -145 home favorites on Thursday night, pushing the UNDER to 3-1 in their games so far this season. And the Wild have lost each of their last three games against the Penguins, and seven of the last 10 meetings between the teams. The OVER/UNDER was 5-5 in that stretch.

The Flames have won just three times over their first eight meetings with the Golden Knights, but they took the last matchup between the clubs 6-3 as a -145 favorite on the moneyline last March. Vegas has fallen in back-to-back games against the Bruins and the Coyotes heading into this matchup to sit at 2-2 on the season; the UNDER has paid off in three of four games.
