Panthers at Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Devils -110 Favorites

The Devils are one of three winless teams left in the NHL along with the Wild and Blackhawks, who are also in action on Monday seeking their first victory this season. Two of New Jersey’s losses have taken place in overtime, although the team was blanked 3-0 at Boston in its last game on Saturday as a +180 underdog. Meanwhile, the Panthers have dropped four of five, including two in a row that have both taken place on the road with the UNDER cashing each time.

Blues at Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -114 Favorites

The Blues hope to wrap up a four-game road trip at 3-1 if they can get past the Islanders in this spot. The defending Stanley Cup champions outscored the Maple Leafs and Senators 9-6 in the first two games before losing 6-3 to the Canadiens as -120 road favorites on Saturday. The Islanders ended a two-game skid with a 3-2 win over the Panthers as -115 home favorites on Saturday with the UNDER cashing for the third time in five games.

Wild at Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Wild -133 Favorites

Minnesota will be playing on the road for the fourth time in five games after losing 7-4 at home to Pittsburgh as a -125 favorite on Saturday. The OVER is 3-0-1 in the first four games for the Wild, as the opposition has scored four goals or more each time. Ottawa was supposed to be the worst team in the league and still might be when all is said and done, but the Senators stunned the Lightning 4-2 as +220 home underdogs on Saturday for their first win this year.

Ducks at Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -182 Favorites

So far this season, no goalie has played better than Anaheim’s John Gibson, who is 3-1 with a 1.26 goals-against average. Gibson has surrendered only one goal in three of his four starts, and the Ducks have gotten off to an impressive 4-1 start without scoring more than three in any game yet. Boston is also 4-1 and opened a three-game homestand with a 3-0 win over New Jersey on Saturday as a -220 favorite with the UNDER cashing for the third time.

Stars at Sabres | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Sabres -117 Favorites

The Sabres have yet to lose in regulation with a 4-0-1 start, and they are a perfect 3-0 on home ice. They were underdogs for just the second time on Friday and upset the Panthers 3-2 after closing at +115 with the UNDER cashing for the first time since their season opener. The Stars had much higher expectations heading into the season and have gotten off to a disappointing 1-4-1 start, and they begin a three-game road trip here at Buffalo.

Avalanche at Capitals | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -130 Favorites

The Capitals ended a three-game losing streak on Saturday with a 4-1 road victory against the Stars as +100 underdogs. They had given up 13 goals during their skid with the OVER cashing twice. The Avalanche are one of two teams without a regulation loss (the Oilers are the other), but they will be opening a six-game road trip at Washington after playing their first four on home ice. Colorado beat Arizona for its latest win Saturday as a -150 favorite.

Oilers at Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blackhawks -107 Favorites

Unbeaten Edmonton visits winless Chicago in what could be a high-scoring affair. The Oilers are averaging 4.75 goals in their last four games with the OVER cashing three times. The Blackhawks are giving up four goals per game in their first three with the OVER going 2-1. However, the UNDER has surprisingly cashed in three of the past four meetings of this series.
