Maple Leafs at Capitals | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -115 Favorites

The Capitals have dropped four of their last five games following a 2-0 start with the OVER cashing in three of four for totals bettors at the sportsbooks. The Maple Leafs will be playing on back-to-back nights after hosting the Wild on Tuesday. Toronto has gone 1-4 the last five times in the second game of a back-to-back and 2-6 in the previous eight.

Avalanche at Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -115 Favorites

The Penguins will try to extend their winning streak to four games and hand the Avalanche their first loss of the season. Pittsburgh is just 2-2 at home so far with the UNDER going 3-1. Colorado kicked off a six-game road trip with a 6-3 win at Washington on Monday as a +120 road underdog, the first time the team had been in that role this year after four home games.

Stars at Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blue Jackets -110 Favorites

The Stars hope to break a three-game losing streak and jumpstart their offense when they visit the Blue Jackets. Dallas has totaled only three goals during its current skid with the UNDER cashing each time. Columbus is 1-2 at home but pulled off its biggest victory of the young season on Saturday with a 3-2 win at Carolina as a +180 road underdog.

Flyers at Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Oilers -135 Favorites

The Flyers face a tough task here in playing back-to-back games against the Flames and Oilers on Tuesday and Wednesday. Philadelphia has lost three in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back but had won four straight in this situation previously. Edmonton is coming off its first loss of the season at Chicago on Monday as a -105 underdog.

Sabres at Ducks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Ducks -120 Favorites

Two of the most surprising teams in the league early on square off in Anaheim when the Ducks host the Sabres. Buffalo begins a three-game road trip through California after a three-game winning streak during a recently completed three-game homestand. Anaheim returns home for a three-game homestand following a 4-2 loss at Boston as a +185 underdog on Monday. The Ducks saw the OVER cash for the first time after the UNDER was 5-0.

Hurricanes at Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Sharks -125 Favorites

The Hurricanes will be playing on back-to-back nights following a visit to the Kings on Tuesday. Carolina suffered its first loss to Columbus as a -220 home favorite in a similar situation on Saturday, but the team had gone 10-1 the previous 11 times when playing the second game of a back-to-back. San Jose  has won two straight games after a disappointing 0-4 start, and both wins have taken place since re-signing former captain Patrick Marleau.
