Montreal at St. Louis | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -160 Favorites

The Canadiens and the Blues have already met once this season, with Montreal winning 6-3 as a +100 wager on the NHL moneyline at home on October 12. Brendan Gallagher had a goal and two assists for the Canadiens in that victory, while Carey Price made 26 saves. Overall, though, Montreal is just 4-6 in its past 10 games against St. Louis dating back to February 2015, with the OVER paying off for totals bettors in one of their last four meetings.

NY Islanders at Columbus | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blue Jackets -125 Favorites

The UNDER has paid off for totals bettors in each of the past five games between the Islanders and the Blue Jackets and in seven of their last 10 clashes heading into their matchup in Ohio on Saturday. New York is 3-1 in its last four games against Columbus, although the Blue Jackets won their last meeting last season by a 4-0 score at -160 at home on the NHL moneyline. The Islanders are riding a three-game winning streak into Saturday.

Dallas at Philadelphia | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flyers -135 Favorites

The Stars hold the edge at 6-4 in their last 10 games against the Flyers dating back to October 2014, but Dallas heads into Saturday’s meeting having struggled badly over the first two weeks of the NHL season. The UNDER has paid out in seven of the last 10 games between the Stars and the Flyers for totals bettors. Philadelphia has lost three games in a row heading into Saturday’s matchup, with the UNDER paying off in three of its first five outings.

Vegas at Pittsburgh | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Pick’em -105 Odds

Vegas and Pittsburgh have met four times since the Golden Knights came into the NHL, splitting those four meetings at two victories apiece with the OVER/UNDER going 2-2 as well for totals bettors at the sportsbooks. Vegas is coming off a 3-2 shootout victory over the Senators on Thursday night as heavy -340 home favorites on the NHL moneyline, a rebound effort after they fell 5-2 at home against the Predators on Tuesday at -135 on the betting lines.

Colorado at Tampa Bay | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -155 Favorites

The Lightning have won five games in a row over the Avalanche heading into their meeting on Saturday, with Colorado scoring just one goal over their two defeats against Tampa Bay last season. Overall the Lightning are 7-3 in their last 10 games against the Avalanche dating back to January 2015, with the OVER/UNDER at 4-5-1 for totals bettors in those matchups. Tampa Bay earned a shootout victory over Boston on Thursday, winning 4-3 at odds of -105.

Boston at Toronto | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Pick’em -105 Odds

The Bruins have managed to pick up the win in six of their last 10 games against the rival Maple Leafs, including a 4-3 series victory in the first round of last year’s playoffs. The OVER has paid out for totals bettors in three of their last four matchups. The Maple Leafs had a two-game winning streak snapped on Thursday night with a 4-3 loss at Washington as +105 underdogs on the odds. John Tavares remains out of Toronto’s lineup with a broken finger.

Calgary at Los Angeles | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -145 Favorites

Drew Doughty scored an overtime goal to give the Kings a 4-3 road win over the Flames at +195 on the moneyline in their first meeting of the season on October 8. Overall the Kings and Flames have split their last 10 matchups at five victories apiece dating back to March 2017, with the OVER only paying out three times in that span. After winning just two of their first six games this season the Flames are riding a two-game winning streak into Saturday.

Buffalo at San Jose | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Sharks -165 Favorites

The OVER has been the correct wager only twice in the last 10 games between the Sabres and the Sharks dating back to October 2014. Buffalo and San Jose split those 10 contests at five victories apiece, although the Sharks are 4-1 in their five most recent meetings. The Sabres will be closing out a swing through California on Saturday, having lost 5-2 at Anaheim and winning 3-0 at Los Angeles earlier in the week, at +110 on the moneyline in each game.
