Lightning at Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -145 Favorites

The Lightning will be playing the second game of a back-to-back situation after losing to the Rangers 4-1 on Tuesday as -230 road favorites at online sports betting sites. They have now lost three of their last four games overall and also dropped three of their past four in the second game of a back-to-back. The Devils have lost the previous five meetings though, but they have won two of the first four games of their six-game homestand.

Oilers at Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blue Jackets -130 Favorites

Like Tampa Bay, Edmonton will be playing the second game of a back-to-back away from home following a 3-1 loss at Detroit as a -120 road favorite. The Oilers have lost four of their last five games after a 7-1 start, and they will be facing a Blue Jackets team that has won two of three and four of seven since losing three of four. Edmonton has dropped five of six in the second game of a back-to-back and is just 3-3-1 on the road compared to 5-1 at home.

Wild at Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -170 Favorites

St. Louis begins life without star winger Vladimir Tarasenko for the next five months following shoulder surgery. Tarasenko had totaled 10 points (three goals and seven assists) in the team’s first 10 games. The Blues will be hosting a Wild club playing for the second time in as many nights after blowing a 2-0 lead in a 6-3 loss to the Stars as +135 road underdogs on Tuesday. Minnesota has lost five in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back.

Canadiens at Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -125 Favorites

The Coyotes return home after a nearly perfect four-game road trip, going 3-1 with the lone loss coming against the Islanders in a 4-2 defeat as -105 underdogs. They have been one of the league’s early surprises following a 1-2-1 start, winning seven of their last nine games. The Canadiens kick off a three-game road trip in Arizona and have gone 2-1-2 in their first five away from home. The OVER has cashed in three of Montreal’s last four games as well.

Panthers at Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -140 Favorites

The Avalanche have been one of the best teams in the NHL so far this season, but they will be without another one of their top players with Gabriel Landeskog out indefinitely due to a lower-body injury. Landeskog joins Mikko Rantanen as an absentee on Colorado’s most productive line alongside Nathan MacKinnon. The Avs have lost two of their last three games since a 7-0-1 start, and they will be hosting a Panthers team playing the finale of a four-game road trip. Florida has gone 1-1-1 in the first three, with the OVER cashing each time.

Canucks at Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Canucks -125 Favorites

Two Pacific Division teams heading in opposite directions will square off in Los Angeles when the Kings host the Canucks. Vancouver has won three of its last four and seven of nine after losing its first two. Meanwhile, Los Angeles has dropped three in a row and six of eight. The Kings have also lost four of the past five meetings with the Canucks over the last year.
